I've structured my trades so that I can reverse Turbo if he's withdrawn. In that event I get Simmo's score (assuming Teddy plays tonight). I would then consider getting JMK for a punt or bring in Fifita early.

Yeah I'm not looking at WFB this week but I think Ponga and Papy will both be better value than Turbo post-Origin.

And this is a hot take - I don't think 11 tries in 8 games is sustainable going forward.

I'm happy for now to write him off as the one that got away. And if I'm wrong, well I've been wrong a lot this season already.

I also think Ponga/Latrell will be better value. Papy scored 8 tries in 5 games (6 if you count his 13 minutes against Dragons) which is unlikely to be repeated

I can't lie, I'm very tempted to grab Turbo.

But, I'll probably settle for the tactic of ATS to score 2 and 3 tries. I'd take him for 1 try too, but that only pays about $1.01
I'll also Captain him in the POD league.

Hopefully all that combined is enough to keep him under 50 points... It's not a new hope or a phantom menace...

$2.10 to get a try in the first half is pretty good.

Probably gets a rest after 60 mins anyway.

I’m sticking to my no origin WFB until R18-19 rule.

Definitely bringing in Tohu this week but that is boring as everyone has him.

Tossing up Hynes to Latrell as Hynes will probably lose cash. Breaks the above origin WFB rule and my go strong for R17 rule but Latrell is cheap.

I will likely pickup a boringly conservative R17 player instead.

Turbo's form is red hot atm & even at the origin level he makes scoring tries look easy which is insane when when you consider origin is imo tougher & a level above test footy. The thing with playing for Manly is they involve Turbo in all attacking plays & he's the alpha/go to man so with that many carries he will keep scoring tries. I don't know how many carries he has in a Manly game but I'd assume it would be 5-10 carries per game. Also when you factor in the rule changes that have increased the speed of the game & lent itself to more open games you will have Turbo in a lot of space.

I might hold Brailey. See how he goes after bit of a break. There aren't many good reasons why his scores have changed, so could just be fatigue. If he stinks again, ill look at moving him on with all the Cleary cash ill have.

Interested in how everyone ranks WFBs for final teams.

Is Teddy still top 3? Does Pappy get back to early season scoring when he returns? Is Walsh worth having in the 17 (is he too expensive to be an NPR when someone like Simonsson could probably do the job)?

    Personally I would rank them:

Trbo, Ponga, Pappy, Teddy, Latrell, To'o, Walsh

I think that's pretty accurate, but low trade numbers for most probably means little room to move. I for example have Teddy and Walsh and they'll have to stay. Ideally I want Turbo for the last spot. But at this stage of the season you're really just wanting your guys to hit their ceiling more frequently than the ones you don't own. Teddy still a good chance to go on a purple patch.

I reckon Teddy busts a couple of banners on the run home.

Was just thinkging same thing. Teddy is a safe enough hold, most have him and not going to waste a trade on bringing in a pod that probably scores about the same.

Hard to have any confidence that Ponga is in the top 3 or 4 for that matter.

Id Have Turbo, Teddy, Pappy, Trell, Ponga, To'o, walsh

I must have changed my captain about ten times. DCE the highest ceiling but also the lowest floor and could get a rest if they smash the doggies. Harris the sensible choice as much as I hate captaining and locking a tradein, excellent floor and pretty decent ceiling. Crichton still capable of a banner despite playing like Forrest Gump last time I captained him. I like the look of SJ against the Broncos, if he can add a try or two to his GK and 500kms could go large. Haas I like too given their bench but can't trust Kevvie.

Currently on Crichton, but likely to change again a few times before kickoff.

At this stage I’ve gone Cleary to Fifita and I’ll wait til final team lists for TPJ to Turbo. Team looks like this at the moment

    Brailey
    Haas Crichton Harris
    CHN Matterson
    ARey Moses
    Olam Burton
    Teddy Hynes Simonsson

    Fifita
    SJ
    Fogarty
    TPJ

    Verrills
    Crichton
    Jones
    Walsh

I can also have a look at Verrills and Crichtons score too this way before having to decide on Turbo. Have I got this set up right?

I'm on Angus. Seems a safe enough bet.

Need a WFB this week to field 17.

Atm I have Simmo coming in at the expense of Papy, could go for Ponga though but probably misses 18 if he plays Origin. Teddy, Walsh and Hynes already there?

    Thoughts?
