Even if Cleary comes back. If his shoulder is not the best, does that hamper his performance moving forward. Could be a possibility.

His shoulder won't stop him from kicking the ball at the very least

True, but 1.2M on the sidelines for a number of weeks is big. Already misses this week and next. If he's out of Origin 3, he'll miss round 18 too you would think.

1.2M on the pine for 2 weeks is basically the same as 300k on the pine for 8 weeks. People suggesting the cash on the sidelines that you will need to bring him back in are overestimating the (relative) cost IMO. Also, with someone like Cleary there will be pretty regular updates on his return so I dont think you necessarily need to continuously hold $300k in reserve to ensure you can get him back as planning should help in that respect.

In short, if you have the trades, and if he is out for more than 2 games, I dont think it would be a silly move to sell him and then plan on bringing him back.

We were always planning to go down on Saturday, so if the lockdown is lifted on Friday night and not extended we should be all sweet. Only thing is one of the blokes is flying in from Sunny Coast... luckily his housemate works for Flight Centre and can get him a flight friday night.

SOOOO fingers and toes and balls crossed this shit does not get extended.

Fucking pleb travelling to Townsville while sick.

Imagine there will still be heavy restrictions once the 3 days is done if it's only that long. Fingers crossed for you, mate!

There is probably a sporting event that needs to go ahead this weekend in which case the requirement for full lockdown will end.

The Townsville Show is on this weekend and starts Friday night scratch

Plus Airlie Beach should be fine, lockdown is only for Townsville and SEQ, everywhere else is normal, so as long as we can get out of Townsville we should be sweet.

if Cleary averages 85 instead of 95, do you even want him?
