Probs CHN/Laurie to Cleary/cashout if he plays. And nothing if he doesn't.

Well the Bunt news just sunk my Hynes to Ponga/Pappy plans.
I have Hooker cover (Mahoney starting, Verills & Kobe back-up).
With $790k to spend, Hughes is out of reach.
Advice would be appreciated. I've narrowed my last trade down to Murray / Ponga / Doueihi / Cook.
Position doesn't matter as whoever it is will likely sit in 14-17.
I'm avoiding Cheese / Grant as they keep taking minutes from each other.
Pappy feels underdone, and is one HIA away from sitting out the rest of the year.
Does Murray keep pumping out 60+, is Ponga due a hot streak (the Knights need him firing), can Doueihi keep his run of big scores going in a Tigers outfit that looks lost, or is Cook going to finally pull his finger out and start dominating at hooker this year?
Questions aplenty.
Knowing the how much The Bludgers are capable of stumbling at the last hurdle each year, I'll probably pick the guy who cops a season ending injury this week.
Then, two or three of my guns will also go down.

1008 and back up to rank 395.
Sitting ok with 4 trades and $303k itb.
I'm glad I ended up keeping McCullough now that Hunt is broken. My main issues are Hunt and Hynes so it would be great if we get some concrete info on Cleary this week. Would be the perfect trade in for me if he come back this week so fingers crossed. Would also be good if fog was back.
Team is:
Cook
Haas Papalii
Ffita Crichton Schuster
DCE Hunt
Averillo Burton
Turbo Teddy Ponga
Jackson Walsh Hynes McCullough
Fogarty Bird Verrills Ramsay

My depth somewhat saved me this week. I played 16 for 940 with 3.75m sitting on the pine in Cleary, Fogarty, Moses, Fonua-Blake and Ramien. Captained Haas.
I ended up trading Walsh and Johnson for Trbojevic and Rapana.
I’m banking on Rapana holding that fullback spot. I knew he won’t average near his 100 from round 19 but I envisioned a 50 average from the back.
It remains to be seen if trading Walsh out was the correct move. My line of thinking was that I thought the Tigers would beat the Warriors on the weekend, ruling NZ out of any hope for the top 8. Now that they’ve won, Walsh may have a good game or two until they’re dusted. He seems like the type of kid that will drop his head a little once out of contention. It even seemed that way a little on the weekend. Nonetheless, I think he averages 40 for the rest of the year (lower than four of my current WFB’s). My other option was to dump Fonua-Blake, but an extra mid for the run home is the better choice.
I’m pretty stacked, albeit my 17th man is questionable, though looping Tupouniua, Burton and Olakau’atu at full strength seems okay because they can all go big on their day.

This. I think he represents great value. The Knights have a pretty good run in and have the team on paper to upset top teams. Ponga seems to want to be the best. With other great fullbacks like Turbo playing out of their skin, he will fire as if to say ‘don’t forget about me’. I don’t have any trades left, but if I was to bring in any player that I don’t own, he would be it.

Why are people not chucking the C on Turbo just because they're playing the storm? That seems ludicrous to me. Especially given the Vlandyball rules and high scores being pumped out every game.
Just keep it simple and keep captaining the hot streak. He scored 100 points in the first 20 minutes after the half

A question for anyone who watched the game; did Sexton just do the basics very well or did he look class? Hopefully I don’t have a $700,000 player being my loop for the last five rounds.

I scored 936 rank down from 2139 to 2347.Brailey, Angus, Haumole, Fifita, CHN, Peachey, Walsh, Hynes, Macca and Verrills all under 50. Only Haas, DCE, Douiehi, Manu, Turbo, Teddy and Schuster above 50.
The early lockout cost me 60 points as I was doing Hynes to Ipap and captaining Haas.
I guess I shouldn’t cut it so fine next time but it’s never happened to me before where it locks out early like that.
Team with 3 trades left and 71k spare is:
Macca
Angus Murray Haas
Fifita CHN
DCE Moses
Manu Ramien
Teddy Turbo Walsh
Schuster Douiehi Hynes Brailey
Olaka’uatu Peachey Verrills Suaali
Early thoughts are maybe Hynes to Ponga. Thoughts on that move?

Peachey facing a one week ban - for anyone who's running a bit low on CTR depth.
But Bird should be back this week

He looked solid mate. Seemed to work well with Taylor too. I know they were playing the Dogs but from what Holbrook was saying pregame, I'd actually be surprised if Fog walks straight back into the number 7 jersey. Although, I also wouldn't be surprised if he gets a game to fight it out for the spot moving forward.

Was that for a crusher? He gave away a nasty one but wasn't even penalized and the player toughed it out and got up and played the ball.
