Like I get if its Hynes -> Cleary you may want to reverse, but someone like Laurie or Hunt it seems like its worth the upside of captaincy points versus the downside of going a week early.

I've traded in and captained Cleary. Burton is 18th man

Either he plays and I get (C)leary or he doesn't and I get Burton's half score

Having Burton and Olam as my only CTRs I’m heavily tempted by Aitken just to get one of them into 18th man. Just not sure if it’s worth it

If I trade Fog and Hynes it probably has to be to two halves which is annoying, considering I had about 8 at one point. Don't know how that's happened. I still reckon Fog comes back in. Locking in Hynes -> Cleary as trade 1, which leaves my options for trade 2 as:

    a) Watson to Grant. Think this is a decent upgrade, knocks Macca out of the starting hooker spot to 18th man.

    b) Macca to Reynolds/Pap/Latrell (642k or less). Probably punt on Pap. Means Watson starting hooker and Verrills/Kobe backup.

    c) Fog to Moses/Munster/Doueihi. Reluctant as it seems sideways and I reckon Fog comes back in. Or trade him to any position and use Burton/Avo as HLF cover via Schoupp to centre.

I like this out of the box thinking, Avo looks the goods and should be back to 50 avg.

This Bailey kid last week had 54km in 29 minutes. Not sure if anything can be read into that. Avo the mainstay so surely Barrett giving him full reigns for the rest of the year.

CHN to Murray with a little change and Murray’s DPP is tempting.

Very unlikely but what if you lock in Cleary captain and he starts on the bench

    Will be lining up with

    Cook
    Haas, ipap, tolo
    Fifita, angus
    Dce, Moses
    Avo, bird
    Turbo, teddy, Walsh

Murray, afb, rapana, then one of

    Burton, CHN, cheese, Verrils, hynes.

Any thoughts on that final spot? Think I’ll go cheese or Burton. The reality is they all score somewhere between 30-50 and nine are a huge risk of going 60+

Think I’ll stick with my normal captain but will make sure I’m able to bring him in if he starts on game day

    CTR: Burton, Olam (Aitken)
WFB: Teddy, Latrell, Walsh, Pappy (Ponga)

Ponga seems overkill at WFB and maybe Aitken is the better trade even if it is less glamorous.

Thoughts on the better trade in?

Burton if no Cleary. If so, Cheese.

I'd be more confident in Ponga scoring more than Aitken over the next 5 weeks.

Not impossible hey. If the team is up, give him 20 minutes at the end, sub Naden move Momo and move Burton to centre. if the team are shit from the start, get Cleary on after 20 minutes.

    Oh 100% with you there.

Just concerned that my lack of cover will come to bite me if I don’t rectify it. Probably doesn’t matter at this stage?

You have trades sparewouldn't you? Although I agree Aitken is obviously better for coverage.
