Hoffman plays for Parramatta now.
Also, hes a fucking shit fullback with just about zero potential for the future

I'd prefer Hoffman to Will Smith and you blokes were almost frothing about getting him.

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
I wouldnt.
You know exactly what you are getting with Hoffman.
At fullback: A 1 dimensional kick returner and runner who cant pass, has no play making skill and is average.
At winger: Good.
At Centre: Good.
He has zero potential for the future and isnt good enough to rely on as a fullback for the next few years.
Not to mention he would have a couple hundred grand attached to his name I reckon.
With smith - its more about his potential and his price.

We need to buy cheap with bigger potential.
Hoffman won't be cheap and isn't any good for what we need.
We don't need to build our future right now, at the moment we should be trimming the fat and getting rid of the huge contracts and looking at resigning our juniors while adding good value to the club.
Then when we're in a better financial position, in 2-3 years then we can look at bringing some players in that have good name value.
Knights fans aren't delusional, we know where we're going to be for the next few years - we're not fickle and won't drop off, it's about rebuilding the club at the moment. The dark times aren't over but we need to keep the goal in mind and work towards that.

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
Ken Sio signs with newcastle. Odd signing, I guess if its for not much then its a good depth signing. Does he get a start in the first 13? Possibly at fullback. Gross. Hopefully its a trade for Mamo, cant wait to see him gone.
Also, Newie is still up in the air about Jack Stockwell. Reported he is on 350k and there is some interest in him from other clubs (Can someone please tell Corey Parker that Jack Stockwell is on $350k?). Stockwell looks OK in stints, hes a big cunt and has a fair motor. I would like to see us persist with him, but if we can get rid his amazingly big contract (or half of it) then I guess get rid of him. I wouldnt mind seeing him get a bit more of a run tho, he certainly has potential. I dont think we can afford to lose a prop at the moment considering we missed out on Fifita.

Stockwell strikes me as the kind of bloke you want if they go down to 6 interchanges.

Seems like a signing just for the sake of signing IMO.
Very very average prop I reckon

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
Latimore would be a good signing for any club. I rate him hey, Knights would do well to sign him. Would really improve their forward stocks.Pieman wrote:Hey Brownie, how about signing Jeremy Latimore who was just released from the Panthers instead of Starling?

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
Would be a heaps better signing than David Fifita.
Prob 150k more as well tho but would be worth it.

Also,
Dear Newcastle,
Please fucking sign Kaylen Ponga. Throw the fucking chequebook at him. I dont care if he is 18, Fuck hokdinson off, let him go to the dragons and give Ponga every cent of hodkinson's money, more if you have to.
I dont care if you have to let the entire roster walk, fucking sign that kid right now.
Thanks Brownie

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
Newcastle being linked to Anthony Tupou - would be a decent signing for us. Front rower, would be fairly cheap.
It exactly what you said though @honeysett we are being linked to just about everyone.
