I think I can agree with "the more I think about it, it's a bargain", but it'll go one of two ways pretty quickly, i reckon. "Barba to Sharks" good, or "Barba to Broncos" bad.

It exactly what you said though @honeysett we are being linked to just about everyone.
I'm used to it with supporting Man City so it's no surprise really - it happens when you have money to spend and they need clicks to sell their articles.

Big difference is players actually wanting to go to play for City....Honeysett wrote:

I'd say poor bloke, but it's beyond that. Feeney or Lamb if he can't start?

Mullen seems like a nice guy. Loyal, pretty skilled and certainly when on the field one of the better NRL players. Unfortunately where the Knights are at right now they can't afford to carry someone in their spine who is out as much as he is. Unfortunately Mullen is one of those blokes who will look back on his career and say "what if". Pretty sad really.

Regretfully I think it's either a) time to retire b) move clubs (I'd like to see him at Melbourne) or c) go to ESL
You're spot on the money, he's never fit and we could use the money he is on to better develop the club moving forward. Which I'm sure being a Newie boy he would put before himself.

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
yeah its heartbreaking really.
At an age where he wont all of a sudden become reliable to stay on the park.
He would hit his straps then get hurt. Rinse, repeat.
seems like an awesome guy, one of the real good guys of the game and I cant help but feel sorry for him. He was the guy who wore most of the "The next andrew johns" shit, and was picked in origin when he shouldnt have been. Then when he was ready, he was never picked again.
I too would like to see him go to melbourne HS, I reckon that with his role reduced, he would absolutely kill it at the storm.
If he sticks around at newcastle, I would still like to see him move to hooker. His game is really well suited to it, and it would reduce the long explosive runs that keep fucking his hammies up.
If mullen retires, or we push him out, or if he misses some time - I have no idea who starts.
If walsh has signed he is the obvious choice, but if not - Maybe Kostjayson plays 6? I duno
Cogger, Jamb, pearsall, plythian.
I cant really find anything else about walsh besides this this shit zero article

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
In the Melbourne system he would absolutely flourish, doesn't need to be in the big dog and his needs to play his role which is put people through holes and set up tries. I dare say if he was fit all year that the Storm would win the comp with him in their side.

Joe Wardle joining the Knights in 2017. Maybe @Welshy or someone can give more insight into what he is like as a player.

Mamo off to england thank fuck.
Swapping a useless outside back for another back rower... brown is a genius.
No idea what this bloke is like though. Hopefully he is a hard nosed straight running back rower though lol.

Re: 2019 NIB Knights
Newcastle Knights star Jarrod Mullen faces a ban of up to four years after testing positive to an anabolic steroid.
The Provisional Suspension Notice asserts that Mullen returned a positive A-sample for an anabolic steroid, Drostanolone which is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy. He was tested by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) on November 29, 2016.
