When he signed for Canberra he wasn’t expecting international travel bans where he couldn’t return to the UK and nobody could come visit him. Has a 10yo kid there. No mates or nothing he can do other than footy here. His own teammates probably needed subtitles to talk to him.

He’s probably looking at it as everyone will be vaxxed in 2022 and travel will get easier.

what's the point of stopping the match and calling a player over to tell him he's on report for a previous incident?  Can a player only be charged if he's put on report during the game?

Yeah doesn't make sense when Match Review Committee can perhaps do the same without stopping the game while NRL are spending considerable energy in speeding up the game.

Though not sure if it has any affect in the outcome if the said player commits another act of foul play during the game.
