Hopefully To'o updates to a banner. If one player deserves it, it's him. 5 trades over the season well spent. Thanks Brian.

Townsend was a bit like Brailey. There was upside there, but he started the season outperforming expectations.
Great for those that started with him, and frustrating for those that went without. But I don't think it was the worstddecision not to have him. Don't forget people were also slightly concerned about an early SJ return from injury which factored into decisions. Not that Lam ended up with better longevity
Cheers for the input. I guess I'm just trying to be mindful to carefully analyse my decisions and not dismiss bad outcomes as just bad luck.
Just checked my preseason notes on Townsend. There wasn't a lot, probably because he fails the good footballer eye test.
I had him at about 43, about 9 above his price. "Awkward. Should make some cash but would be slowly and will still be mid-range even playing next to Moylan and goal kicking"
I was wrong about how much impact his new role would have. People that picked him, both made a good decision and were lucky that he exceeded probably even their expectations.

Only dropping 42 places to 79 with out Cleary is a huge bonus

Is the famous Cleary 9 point update still a thing?

Hope I can keep some of the ground I made over the rest of the round.

Cleary down 5. Stats blokes definitely sold him.

Had a choice of to'o, Pearce, papy, Brooks with 696 to play with, went with papy, not a bad choice although to'o wouldn't have been a bad choice either.

Cleary priced at 92.8. I haven't done a deep dive yet but I reckon similar to last 4 years his increase has come from a better base rather than increased attacking stats. If the numbers stack up with the eye test it's hard to see him not averaging 80+ again next year. Only downside I can see is if Panthers lose in the finals again they might try to give Luai extra responsibility to make themselves less predictable
Yeo managed to sneak back to a 50 average to end the year down on last years 58 when starting lock. I think Panthers should be just as good next year so expect a similar amount of resting.
Koroisau at 50 another interesting one. Potential to go 60+ average but likely to get rested
Burton at 48 is right at that awkward price where you have to think about it. If he keeps CTR DPP he is an auto pick. I expect he will lose it and maybe get a slight price bump based off expectations.
Crichton priced at 35 will require a stats deep dive. On the surface he had a down year scoring way less tries than last but has ended with a similar average. Eye test says he increased his base by being better defensively and doing more work out of trouble. If that's the case and he can reproduce the try scoring form could be some significant upside here
Hopgood/Leniu/Tago/Smith are all eye test guys priced sub 30 that probably need to move clubs to be fantasy relevant. Lindsay Smith is a bigger Shaun Fensom clone and I anticipate he has the best fantasy career if he leaves.
Naden at 27 will be a popular pick in an improved Bulldogs team but probably scores right around his average
Moses (55) and Matterson (52) will once again be tempting after injury shortened games. I'll probably stay away this time after being burnt
Nathan Brown (45) will always be the main middle in the pack no matter how much Paulo and RCG get talked up. Probably under priced based on his potential but seems to start the year slow.
Makatoa should be a hefty discount and be priced around 33. Passes the eye test but probably too many middles for him to be relevant
Ray Stone reminds me of a young Josh Jackson. Priced at 22 he throws absolutely everything into every hit up and tackle. Should be in and around the 17 most weeks but don't think he locks down a spot

Burton not an autopick for me, even at CTR
He scored 16 tries this year. Not going to do that at the dogs.
Would want to be confident of a hell of a lot of kick meters before you looked at him. Luke Lewis could do it so he's still a chance, but I'm not going to chuck him in without looking.

Who would his halves partner be? Avo?
1 try and a line break is 210 kick metres. So should pick that up a week to replace the tries. And then tries on top

Ah man glad to read this. Glad he worked out well for someone!
Too and bmoz were my draft wfbs
Was so happy with them gunning it early this season.
Then when Too got injured it was meant to be till round 1 of the finals and our gf was in round 24 so I traded him out completely.
Was up against a mate who's a big fantasy rival in the draft GF last round and he thought to pick up Too the round before
Needless to say it cost me the GF

Did ynot post his analysis of who has trades, and how many players most teams have in top 500?
