He is being encouraged to delay returning to reduce the risk of reinjury (30% of those with a 2nd ACL, also experience a 3rd ACL).
Tohu is due back rounds 4-6 according to NRL Physio, after doing his ACL (1st time injury) in round 18.
Douehi did his in round 23 for a 2nd time, which they are more cautious about. Even if on the same timeline as Tohu, that would put him at rounds 9-11, in line with what McGuire is saying.

I'll let Douehi know he better speak to Tohu before talking about when he'll be back on the field next time.

Yeah god forbid we use a realistic reference point of another player with the same injury when there is conflicting information from 2 sources.
NRL Physio is the one saying Douehi will be back later than Tohu due to risk of reinjury, not me. Madge also refers to reinjury risk being high when talking about when Douehi will return. The messaging is consistent from both trusted sources.

For me it's the Titans. They seem to be trying to build in a similar way to Panthers success (young playmakers brought through academy) but look more like 2020 Broncos to me. The spine is simply too inexperienced to grind out enough wins for a top 8 team. Brimson is definitely the best player in the spine and is playing out of position. Proctor on the downswing + Fifita and Tino not yet true on field leaders. Liu will be a good locker room signing to help with leadership but I don't think it's enough. They are lacking the James Tamou/Api Koroisau signing that pushed the Panthers over the top
What are the Titans expectations? 6th-8th? It's possible but yes it's a lot of faith to put in an untried spine. Their pack (Mo, Tino, Difita, Fermor, Liu, with depth from Wallace, Joliffe, McIntyre, Proctor etc) is definitely top 8, so at least they'll have a platform.
Reckon the Knights are going to struggle. First coach gone between O'Brien, Payton and Maguire.

With the titans having that pack and hopefully Marzhew and Thompson as wingers there is going to be plenty of go forward to set a good platform for the halves. Also Fifita is going to take a lot of pressure over whichever half plays predominately on his side. The biggest problem is if Brimson gets injured. There will be so much pressure on Sexton with very little depth in the halves with Taylor and Fogarty gone. They are definitely a team that could be top 6 or bottom 4.rhinoceroo wrote:

Random question for people whose fantasy team name is their forum user name. Which came first?
Are you naming your fantasy team after yourself, or basing your username on your team name?

i started naming my team after my forum name due to laziness (couldnt think of anything funny)
EDIT: just remembered "livin tevita loca" was already taken to i just typed in 'my tv broke' and left it at that.
it annoys me trying to work out which team is which forum user at random times during the year, so i just kind of stuck with it in the hope more people might do the same ?

Holy Moly rhymes with my surname Foley. Had that team name years before I joined this fanatical fantasy forum.

My teamname used to be similar to my forum name, but "the Freak from Kashyyyyk" has a nice ring to it.

Aardvark came from my first year of NRLF.
Was in a work league with a big bunch of diehards NRL fans who were joking about me being cannon fodder so I decided on Aardvark in the hope that I would be top of the league prior to season kick off.
Incidentally, found my lack of any sort of NRL team loyalty was an advantage and have come top 3 in that league every year for the last 10 years, winning it 4 times and collecting all of their money (with the notable exception being last year when my miserable finish meant I dropped to 6th). Sort of like a 'Revenge of the Nerds' story line
The team name changes up every year but still contains Aardvark in some form. Went for a sea shanty esque name this year but doesn't quite work without punctuation.

In my head, I always rhymed Kashyyyk with "frick" not "freak"
Is it ever pronounced on screen? damn triple 'y'. those wookiees love their extra vowels

I am having a really hard time trying to work out the minutes and role of Arrow as starting edge.
He averaged only 39 points in 55 minutes last season in that role across 6 games (much less than he is priced at, 44).
He is a guy with a huge engine, and still only 26 averaging:
2019 - 52 in 57 minutes at lock
2018 - 50 in 54 minutes at lock
I can see him having a role like 60-70 minutes split across edge and middle and scoring 50 as a handy dual.
Do we see the new coach giving this rep player a greater role? He seems a waste of talent with just 55 minutes on the edge.

My nrl fantasy name is whitelightning7...i wanted white lightning but someone already had that name (unbelievable) so i tagged the number 7 on the end it. I actually got the white lightning nickname playing league because i had pure white hair & one game the weather was atrocious & visibility was poor & my pure white hair stood out from the sideline so they called me wl.

word is tpj & j. hetherington will be starting edges for the doggies...now with their anger control problems & judiciary histories it's quite possible both will get suspended in the same game & be out for a while...i am thinking of picking potolo (who will start off the bench probably) just because when the inevitable happens he'll start.

I don't think Starling/Randall as the only hookers in your team is a good play TBH
