If Townsand was a fantasy 'gun' next to Moylan, then surely Hynes can be too.
But seriously i'm liking Hynes hlf/wfb dual, but im struggling to get me head around how he'll go as a halfback.

I think he will gun it. Should be a top WFB comfortably, might challenge Teddy.

If he's next to Moylan, yes.

If Trindall get's the 7 either through injury to Moylan, or so Hynes is the running 6, then I struggle to see him gunning it.

Indeed Moylan helps, but he managed to average high 50's last year (when he wasn't subbed) with 50km per game. Probably loses a bit on TB's, but I can see him maintaining the attacking stats.

Dunster's price is a bit discounted because of two tiny minute interchange game. Averages about 5 points over his price in full games, whether he gets further improvement I don't know but he's not a Charlie Staines.

My concerns also. If Trindall is the 7, I don't see Hynes being that fantasy relevant.

At Nofo's fantasy peak, he got most of his points making runs out of dummy half. Doesn't do that as much any more - his average running metres have dropped off heaps over the past few years and I think that has more of an impact than whether the 6 passes him the ball or not

The year I had him (2020) was a good year for him. I'd have to look at stat's but watching him last year, Matt does make a good point regarding Doueihi. While it might not have translated to anything fantasy wise, he definitely was starved of some opportunities.

Agreed, but it would make Trindall very interesting.

One of my concerns with Hynes. He got a lot of run metres last year, even in his limited appearances as a half.

Even if he picks up a bulk of kicking, will he be able to sustain his other stats. I don't think Cronulla will rack up attacking stats as easily as Melbourne did either

Will he average 1 try assist per game at the Sharks? more than 1 line break assist a game? Almost a line break every game

That's a lot of kicking he needs to do to make up for losses in other categories

I like Hynes as a player and I enjoyed having him in my team last season, but I can't see him improve much fantasy wise this season. Maybe +5 points?

I do like his DPP and he may slot into my team at the back-end of origin for the run home

One player I'd love to fit in that hasn't been mentioned is AFB. I think he'll easily be one of the top scoring mids this year.

JFH was an absolute rock for me last year. I wanted a small number of players who I knew would turn up each week, bust out 40, not be in and out of teams or SOO. Just to reduce the need for trade burning. From memory he made a bit of money to. Helped he is one of my favourite players.

Well let’s see what happens he’s playing in a strong Parra team all he needs is a few tries in a game or 2 to make cash. When starting on wing last year he did avg 29.4.Parra have a good run to start with too.  Same can be said for Coates at 330k a few tries and away we go.

Could be a pick up at some point but I can’t start him priced at around 650k. For 90k or so cheaper I’d rather punt on Uto.

Fifita locked in for 80 minutes each game this year?

He says he wants to start. Last season he was splitting minutes with Proctor and Fermor was getting 80 when starting.

Reports are that Fifita is much fitter this preseason.

The question would be if they start with Fifita and Fermor, but have Proctor on the bench

Proctor only to be used for HIA/injury? Sub one of them into middle rotation? Give Fifita a spell at times to keep him fresh? For fantasy the best situation would be Proctor out of the 17, but not sure that would happen

He was carrying a rib injury late last year so they managed him.

Apparently this pre season he’s fully fit and ready to go no niggles.
