Hey SI. I think it was the last year of VSDT being on NRL.com that we decided to give the then-new 12-team leagues a try. If Fanhub started on NRL.com in 2014 (was that really 8 years ago), then we are talking about 2013. It was a great idea, and the setting up of the leagues went well, but VSDT let us down by NOT including the 12-team leagues in the rankings. I've been very wary of non-standard-sized leagues since then, but I know that the 10-team leagues were included in the rankings in 2020-21.

Yep, last year of OG DT was 2013. What a hard slog it was back then putting the Leagues together!!!

Yep, we did the 12 team Leagues that year.  But also tried a 10 team version in Fantasy I think a few years later, which wasn't recognised.  Then Fantasy in 2016 or 17 just completely stopped ranking them altogether.

Like you have said, 10 and 18 team Leagues were Ranked on VS over the last few years.  They have let me know yesterday though that only 18 team Leagues will be ranked this year unfortunately "at this stage".

WTF. So they are going to screw us again? I can understand why the new custom leagues WOULDN'T be included in the rankings (that would would involve new coding), but the code is already there for the standard private leagues of 18 and 10.

Because this is potentially my stuff up, I'm going to set up an 18-team league which will be a combination of L1 and L2.

I will post the code in the L1 coaches box in VSDT, and ask NW to post the code in the L2 coaches box in VSDT

There are 19 teams in those 2 leagues (9 unique in each, plus organiser NW in both), so the first 18 to join will make the cut.

I've done this:

1/ created an 18-team league called "NRL FF Top 18"
2/ posted the code in the League 1 coaches box
3/ sent NW a PM asking him to post the code in the League 2 coaches box

Could everyone in Leagues 1 and 2 please join the new league (but also STAY in L1 and L2, just in case VSDT has given SI a bum steer, and it turns out that the 10-team leagues ARE included in the rankings)?

I've PM'd the missing entrants for L3. If there's still a vacancy come Thursday, I have an experienced DT player (who is member of the forum) lined up. He is ready, willing, and able to join at a moment's notice. I only have to give him the go ahead.

Please make sure he joins the FOG too if 18 is the cut off we are going to be hard more than 1 league that ranks next year. The rest can go into unranked leagues or mine and BB's so there is a bit more variance
