Sportsdeck VSDT 2022 part 1

Halves might break me. Their choice of Illias, Munster and Brimson. Mine are DCE, Mam and unplayable Salmon.
Who we captain will make a difference. Think I need to chose between Cook, DCE and Hynes. They only have Hynes out of those 3.

My opponent has some guns I can't cover like Tapine and Teddy. It's going to be a close one but I think i have the edge.

Would you guys play tago over pole?

Yes even though all the Panthers SOO have been rested...imo they will still hit the left edge in attack much more than the right edge so great chance of tries/points. Also Tago will play 80 mins whereas Pole will only play 40ish mins.

I am going to need a lot of luck to get through Eliminator this week. Only have 17 players, missing Cleary, Yeo, Matterson, Haas and Cotter while they rest and having to play Tago, Tass, Koula and Ramsey. Correct captain choice will be crucial.

Definitely a tough week. Jing to Pole to finance Kiraz to DCE for me. BE of 25 (thanks Milch) means he has to come in this week. I will worry about Cook next week and just hope he doesn't smash out a hundy.

Yeah I agree. The only thing that has me on the fence is that I don’t think Hastings is going is going to play a lot of lock. Kurt Mann needed a whole off season to prep for that

Shite Cook not on captains run rumour is he's out...when he was named to start I put him in the 13 with Robson reserve so I can't spell Cook. Looks like I'm getting an a.e.

Captain Cook out is not good for my eliminator.
Any thoughts on who to replace him with out of Grant, Tapine and Ryan Pap as captain?
I'm leaning towards Grant.

Think i am screwed. Too many players out and then i traded in Stauk who got knocked the fuck out

Well i couldn't do anymore to try and win my eliminator. Traded in Manu and DCE this week but a combination of Walsh and them captaining Garrick sees me in a lot of trouble. I thought id play it safe and do an easy loop on Hynes early days but big Billy Smith said No to that aswell.

What can you do when you have Cleary, Yeo, Cook, Matterson, Haas and Cotter as DNP's.

Won eliminator even though i had a shocking day today with Cook & Murray out and Papi getting injured. Looked like a 1050ish score was on the cards but copped a 0 for Murray/Cook. Ended up with 959

EDIT: Might do a May/Papi to Latrell/Manu double trade. Hopefully get Cleary, Haas, Murray & Cook back next round

Regretted not getting DCE all weekend, and even more once he played

Looks like I dodged a massive bullet to win my eliminator this week. Behind all weekend (thanks to my Walsh vs his/her Garrick), I activated a trade boost and traded out Cleary to Munster to get another PoD. Wasn’t going to be enough, but my opponent didn’t have a hooker/trade to replace Cook so only played with 16. While I won by 26 points.

On to next week. First order of business- bring back in the Chin.

Also through. Realised my opponent had a dead team and didn’t make any changes so won comfortably by 110 points.

Won through eliminator by 200 odd points, after he was predicted at the start of the weekend to win a close matchup. He scored 956 so it wasn’t like he totally bombed.

My luck will run out eventually in eliminator though as it is very much a secondary thought at this stage.
