Barring some sort of disaster, I should win my eliminator.

Well done mate! I won by 100 odd so through as well. My luck will run out in eliminator at some stage though

Good stuff. Luck running out seems somewhat inevitable but at the moment im just taking it one week at a time (Cliche...but rings true)

Yeah mine is more people can take a chance against my team and I wont react, as I just need to keep plodding along maximising my score each round to stay in front in overall

Very disappointing week from my team. Gone from eliminator.

Won my eliminator in the end by 30-odd points. With no Burton, luckily came up against another team without him.
The other factor is trades. Am guessing the teams at the top *might* have less trades to play with in the last few weeks in the season...

Killed it with 1129 this week pre-updates. Did not expect Aitken and DCE to be my lowest scores. Sorry WL, somehow beat you by 10 in the top 18 league!

Exactly. I did this to my opponent today(nearly to my detriment) I was up by a fair bit so decided to reverse my fermor to fifita trade to save a trade. Also dropped Too to match his talakai earlier. If i was in the hunt for overall no way would i be doing shit like this. Well done studogg. Cracking scoreConcussed wrote:

You would? Is that because you aren’t right up the top in overall? Or because you favour eliminator?

I always feel like I can give the Eliminator more of a crack than overall. This is despite never making it past the last 32, whereas in overall I've done better than 32 before. My answer might be different if I were top 5 perhaps lol but I've never reached those heights at this end of the season.
In saying that, being eliminated in a round without my best 17 on the park a few rounds ago was frustrating

It’s interesting how different everyone is. I have always thought of the eliminator as a massive luck of the draw competition, and very much secondary to overall. The world would be pretty boring if we were all the same though, so that’s cool you give it a good crack.
Who’s still in eliminator from the forum?
I see the guy that was 3rd was the highest score of the round… squeaky bum time!

I always go eliminator if I'm not in with a chance at overall. But it requires a lot of luck, and its hard to plan for given you don't know any future opponents to build your team for. Especially in R18 which is impacted by origin but counts for eliminator. Think I've been knocked out in that round twice in a row.

Yeah it’s the “luck” side of it that doesn’t appeal to me. I much prefer the consistency of overall, but I get why others prefer eliminator etc…
A couple of years back when I won eliminator, I didn’t even know I was still in it until about this time of the season, and I knew I could catch the top overall teams haha
