From what was said in the Tigers thread Halatau will be there Round 1. Ballin Round 6/7, Farrah round 4/5. Considering his price Parcell is the safer option.

Remember last year when they brought in the new ruck rules that were supposed to speed the play the ball up so everyone was supposed to get mobile front rowers & then nothing really changed. Maybe the reduced interchange won't pan out as we expected.

Does Cherrington have the stamina to play big minutes.

    Halatau suspended round 1.

So looks like Charrington starter and bench will be someone like Liddle, or maybe a half/other utility.

Not sure I'm interested in the cash grab. Cherrington has a lot of cash to make up to transfer to a proper gun, so after 4-5 rounds you'll need to make a major downgrade somewhere else to be rid of him. And you'll have to do it because once he goes back to bench hooker he'll start bleeding cash again

Yeah I agree, Parcell or Cherrington too risky for me, that hooker spot is so valuable

If i was doing it id look at Cherrington in saving 320k then using 140k of that to go NPR to someone like Kane Evans. Hoping Cherry gets you 35 points for 5 weeks going close to 300k then using cash left(180k) to jump to Peats/Seggy/Licchaa. Massive upside if it works but the risk is 1 Cherry doesnt start rd2-5 and 2 you spend the cash you need before rd 5

The reports i read on Farah have him out for 8 rounds

5 weeks of 35 and Cherrington will still be under $250k. And you've got $180k (20 points a week) sitting there doing nothing for a month

Looking at another $200k+ to get him to a proper gun by then.

Agree Milch, struggling to see the upside with Parcell also for the same reason

infact I can't see Parcell getting anymore than 20 minutes off the bench

    Yes mate

way i see it if Griffin plays Merrin like he did Parker then his minutes will go up to around the 65 mark
Doesn't Merrin score very similar when starting prop to lock regardless? If so surely the extra 10 minutes on the park are enough for him to improve his points avg
I think Merrin this year will be very similar to Mike Cooper last year in this regard.
I had Cooper and when he went from prop to lock, I thought it would help his score.
Milchy might have the stats to prove it, but I think he played more minutes at lock, but his points remained similar or evenly slightly down.
I don't see it harming Merrins score.

All Merrin needs is extra minutes i think mate to up his avg, i have gone Merrin over Parker due to cash saved and the hope he can lift his avg to around the 58-60 mark as i feel he was under used by Mary last year

    1. Smith
    2. Parker
    3. Gallen
    4. Fifita
    5. Mannering if 80 min SM13

    tier two:
    5. Mannering if no 80 min SM13
    6. Seggy
    7. Surgess
    8. Merrin
    9. DCE

I think you really need to have one of those top 4 in your team as captain to be honest. These guys are superguns. Can't trust a regular old gun like Merrin with your double points. Gotta have yourself a supergun.
