I've been so busy really only looked at DT this week

My reference to them was (mid) price range rather than them as individuals.

You either have guns and cows, our mid Rangers and depth.

I think people are looking at players like that and seeing more mins

I've had Tim Grant to partner Fifita since the first, and in every iteration.

I just came up with a draft that gives me slightly more depth (Pauli Pauli instead of Noobie Newb), but it does mean Kane Evans instead of Grant.

    Thoughts on Evans v Grant?

My thinking was with JWH not there could be interesting

Thanks GM - yep realised just the reference to them, though on the few pages I've read have seen a lot of teams with them. First few rounds will be interesting for sure!

To continue on with GM's player H2H vote I am currently contemplating between Merrin and WGraham for a 2RF spot. I know Merrin will get dual status when he shifts to prop however I would probably still keep him in my 2RF if selected. So basically the question is simple, Merrin or WGraham?

Merrin I simply cannot see regressing below his current average with the potential for gains with an increased role

Wade Graham cannot get an increased role and is a slight worry for regression with less KM points with Malone and Townsend at the sharkies

    but I like both

I see Wade stepping up big time this year, Gallen will slow down his input either via injury or age and Graham will push hard for a much deserved origin spot.

He also could gain attacking stats from decent halves giving him good ball.

Agree mate, just in the above comparison i find it more likely for Merrin to gain more stats from tackling and hit ups in more potential minutes than Graham increase his through extra attacking

I remember watching between Thompson Friz and Merrin in round one last year. I wanted to pick one Merrin but the fact he was on the bench put me off. Same reason as why I didn't select Taupau either haha.

Anyway Merrin had outscored Thompson and equalled Friz at half time and he only came on at the 25th minute.. If only i had a crystal ball!

Ah Mau is popular because he is mid priced but there is a feeling among some that he will step up his game. Was producing close to 50's at the end of last season and so he is one of the mid range options that people are looking at as someone who can score reasonably well but also make cash which is what you want to get an ideal 17 at the end. Welshy in particular seems to be the main Ah Mau advocate

Rochow is even cheaper priced than Ah Mau but falls into the same boat. Discounted because he barely played any games last year, he is priced at around 33 points, but averaged 40 and I believe the year before he was also a 40+ point player. With a lack of options in the Knights back row many are thinking he becomes a consistent 40-45 point player which puts him into the 400k category.

Had him until he was named on the bench and got put off, silly really as he was always going to get decent minutes regardless of coming off the bench! Then he pumped out 3 80's! Distraught was an understatement haha

Same with Whitehead. You better be running with both come RD 1 kickoff.

Up in the air in regards to Whitehead starting in my team, I have bigged up his play in the real game but hard to judge with all the competition in the Raiders backrow
