2022 FF NRL Fantasy DRAFT League

Thanks everyone who has so far signed up.

We have 24 players confirmed at this point, so should be able to scrape out 3 leagues.

I'm thinking about closing off the first two leagues, and probably the third as well on Saturday (that will allow some weekend trial late-comers to register).

The intention would be:
26th - Saturday evening: Initial leagues close: 1, 2 & probably 3.
26th - Saturday evening: Supply league codes
27th - Sunday evening: Hopefully everyone joins their allocated league and we can generate the draw order
28th - Monday evening: Commence the Draft

If players check regularly, we should be able to get sorted by the 7th. However, I will check on Sunday the 6th and review where the Drafts are up to, and if necessary we may look to quicken the pace.

No-one is too late at this point (and probably for the next 48 hours) and everyone is welcome.

I would like to give this a shot if possible.

Not going to be able to do a draft this year, 1 week into a new job and settled my first home today so a bit too much going on sorry. GL everyone though

Looks like a bunch of interest since that post. I think the general consensus last year was that a 10 person draft is much better than an 8 person draft, so might pay to see if we can get it there?

Agreed 8 stacks teams too much, 10 requires more thought

Who will be creating the leagues and sending out codes this year ?

To answer all these questions at once;

I agree.
League 1 is confirmed with 10 teams.
As I am in it, I will commission the League, and the code details will be up shortly.

There are currently 18 players for Leagues 2 & 3.
There are two options for this:

Option 1:
Someone each from L2 & L3 volunteers to commission that League.
I will need to track down two more players for those Leagues (shouldn't be too hard), and then we'll be ready to go.
The commissioner will need to commit to staying involved through to the season end, and will need to flick me a screenshot of the final results at that time (so we're in a better spot for '23) - it really shouldn't take much time at all, just a commitment to see the Draft through to the end.

Option 2:
I can launch L2 & L3 immediately.
The leagues will have 9 active players each, and I will commission them both.
As the tenth player, I will select players out with season-ending injuries or otherwise unlikely to get a call-up players - so essentially I become a bye for whoever draws me.

I think Option 1 is probably the best for the comp.

I have tentatively set the start date as Sunday 27th of Feb at 7pm - I assume that's AEST
If all teams people are able to join by Saturday and no one has objections to that date/time, then that's what we'll roll with. Otherwise, I'm happy to adjust as needed, with the intention to give some time for people to see the order they have drawn and strategise accordingly.

Nice work, thanks for running.

My main draft league has collapsed after 13 years (COVID to blame I think) so this should fill some of the void.

If everyone gets in today I wouldn't be against moving the start time forward.

I can comission a League Easy.
