That right edge for Broncos is going to be strong, Reynolds, Riki, Staggs, Periera, with Cobbo coming in.

I don't think Kobe is a trap he should still get plenty of minutes even when Flegler is back.
He may not have a huge upside but he should avg at least 35+.
The first couple of Fleglerless games may bump up his avg a bit

MCLEAN no walk up to the starting side. Has done nothing at the Cowboys since his big money move from Storm. I think The coach is starting to back his new signings and younger guys and starting to broom some of the dead wood.

Kobe is the one I’m torn on whether to pick him or not.

I may have to give up D. Fifita to get Grant at hooker as hooker is mud.

Just quoted some Kobe stats a couple of pages back. Not enticing at all, even before you throw in the Flegler return date.

White Lightning wrote:So if we aren't going for a premium hooker & have Randall who do we get for a back-up:
Paix - didn't watch the trial but from the above comments he wasn't that assertive & the stated risk with Kevvy being a lot of chopping & changing
    K. Hetherington - he's a trap because once Flegler serves his suspension he'll be back to the bench
Cotter - with Lolo not playing in the trial it's uncertain re his affect on Cotter but regardless Cotter doesn't usually play big mins & he seems busy in defense with not much attacking upside

Or do we just have Grant or B. Smith in our teams from round 1 & take the points hit
On the premium hookers Cooks comments re taking more responsibility didn't equate to him taking more runs from dummy half which is what I wanted to see. This leaves Mahoney who scored a try in the thrashing of the Storm so the team/Mahoney look in great form but with Rein there & Mahoney leaving in 2023 will he play 80 mins every week.

I reckon Cotter is solid for 60 minutes. That was Patyen's intention last year too before he got injured!!!

Papenhuyzen with the Burnley like ‘touch and go’ for R1

Yep also said Paps was running yesterday and looked "abit ginger" and that they would "need to work some magic" for him to be fit come round 1.

Didn't sound too promising but I guess time will tell

I still think he starts when Flegler is back.

At worst he should avg 35 and could avg close to 40.

All it takes is him to make a break or score a try and he could score a 50.

He does from trials look to me like he’s becoming more confident though could be solid for fantasy.

When your "worst case", assumes that he retains a starting spot that is not guaranteed, and then averages higher than last seasons average

Link man rather than hit-up forward. Had a couple of slapsie runs otherwise his score would be poor. Playing a Radley role but without the upside of t/o tackles and line breaks. Think he went off after about 25.

Clifford looks the value for the Knights. Absolutely leathering the ball with his kicks and heavily involved. Might score a bit like Pearce.

If I wasn't starting with Cleary, I would say Hughes isn't the worst case alternative.
Can he go up another gear this year.
