Cobbo did the pre-season on the wing. Didn't train there as an alternate to Niu. They gave him a run there after Niu got injured. Isaako is a known quantity.

Yeah, I wasn't blaming Cobbo for looking out of his depth as first team fullback, but he was. Guess Kevvie gave him a shot there hoping for a miracle but he needs to learn NRL from the wing like Latrell and RTS before him (and Savage too, probably). Obv many Brisbane fans are impatient after losing Walsh, but it should only be a couple of weeks of Isaako. If not there's always David Mead.

Because I'm on Jackson Hastings for no other reason than I've always liked him and I really want to see him succeed in his NRL return.

Brooks still did most of the kicking, Hasting was involved and vocal

Yeah for sure- just re-iterating I guess. Broncos fans (myself included) got hopeful when Cobbo was given the shot in the last trial. Reality is that Isaako was always the likely short term replacement.

There had been rumours he struggled with fitness post covid but I have no idea if there is truth to that.

I went off Hastings after the trial as he did next to no kicking and not goal kicking.
What I did like about Hastings is, I thought that he brought others around him into the game well. It tempted me to consider Lucy and even Roberts again (smh).

I predict, that when James Roberts gets added to the system at 275 k, more than a few are going to more than tempted.

Priced at $275k would be big overs based on last years average. Only 2 of his 8 scores at centre were over 20.

Scores in prior years were pretty good, but would many think he can get back to that?

Woohhhooo looks like common sense has prevailed and Mansour is out of the 17. Milne trained today in the top 17 at right wing.

Hi Mulvy, I Just posted in the latecomers thread. But figured I'd mention it here too. If you need a fanatic who is playing fantasy this year to fill a spot that someone hasn't responded to, I can respond and join as soon as I'm sent a code, if required of course, all good if too late/not needed. Thanks Smile

EDIT: Fantasy name is Bridgeman Bandits.

He looked really good. Each time tigers scored he took control of the set and basically touched the ball every play. Has been battling an injury, I think toe or foot where he had barely any feeling in one of them during the trial, which is why he didn’t do much kicking or goal kicking. In general play he made them look vastly more threatening than brooks has

One thing Tigers have struggled with is creativity and Hastings brings that in spades
Will improve the team IRL but feels more like a SuperCoach pick than fantasy to me

Interesting. Well I can definitely fit Cook or Mahoney in now and take care of that HOK spot.
