In his only first grade start at lock he scored 34 points. Just sit back and watch the price changes roll in.

Closest to no Cleary final team edit. Last change was Grant +106k to DFifi. Any gaping holes or mistakes? No Grant means rolling dice with Clark+Randall which not crazy about

    Haas(C) Arrow DFifi
    Aitken Bird
    Walker Ilias

Welshy wrote:@mulvy Enough minutes for Cotter?

    Honestly? No.

But I think he'll be good for 50 minutes and score about 45. Priced at 40, not the worst. I know it breaks the rule of not a keeper, not making enough money but at his price, his dpp is invaluable covering the two hardest positions. I think he'll probably plod along, make 70k, play the first bye before being upgraded to a keeper. You can probably afford to have one of these in your side. A few years back I bought Tolman priced at 40 hoping for high 40's and play the first bye as FRF was tough again, it worked really well and he just so happened to avg 50 for the first half of the year. Last year Welch was similar.

I'm *hoping* I might get lucky with Cotter too. He had no attacking stats to speak of last year, and if Lolo gets suspended/injured/Covid-denied, he should be up for a big role, so acts as a bit of a handcuff there too.

So no, the value isn't quite there, but I'm thinking of selecting him anyway. Thoughts?

Awkward price point but could be a punting a half. Seems a risky move to start with. Depends on minutes I guess but could scrape up to 50 with the minutes. Should be a lot more involthough in the middle.

Bit in here from Ryan James on returning to training after covid.. reckons it took a few days training get up to speed again, and said the same thing happened with Haas.

    Bad ideas I'm entertaining...

    1. James Roberts bounce back year
I mean aside from 2021, he was a 34+ player. Priced at like 22. Hastings will create more opportunities in space. Better the devil you know, vs some unknown chump like Vailea

Until 5 mins ago, I was still (C)leary. Now I've wiped my team so I guess no captain.

I see a disturbing lack of Cheese in that list of captains, he's mine for the week since I can see him busting through the lazy Tigers defence

Finally got a team I’m happy enough with to start the year
Won’t be around for late mail the first 2 weeks so need a bit of depth and certainty
17 caters a bit to wet weather football getting the backs into NPR
Position 20 came down to Coates vs Smith vs Tago with all 3 probably getting a similar role (stand on the edge and score tries for top 4 teams) went with job security as Coates is easily best option where Smith is contending with Naiqama, Suaali and Momirovski for the centre spot

    Mahoney
    Haas, Crichton, Bullemor
    Katoa, Tuilagi
    Sexton, Clune
    Burton, Penisini
    Hynes, Papy, Crichton

    Randall, Ilias, Schneider, Nanai
    Amone, Paulo, Coates, Vailea

What are peoples back up plans if Papy is a late out?

Not a great selection of people left at that stage of the weekend. I think I'd either swap him to Nofo, or drop him down to Russell and upgrade Fermor to Papali'i. Don't really like either option though...

Not much love for Cook? No Reynolds so I think he steps up. Have a feeling we see some old the old beach sprinter Cook emerge. Could be a solid captain option too.

For those that want a POD, go for Braidon Burns

Little expensive but he is a crazy good fantasy scorer when fit

I'm happy to flip a coin for Mahoney and Cook. Mind set on a gun there. Can't stomach running two of the cheaper options.

Bosses are away at conference for the rest of the week. Time to finally open up this bad boy, scour through the pages, do some research, and get a team started!
