Think I must be the only one starting the szn without hooker cover, could be a massive mistake when Randall goes down or could pay off nicely - (gambling man lol). Will obv have to get another hooker at some point but just don't really wanna force myself into getting a gun hooker who I don't really like.

    Randall
    Angus (VC) Ipap Lolo
    Fifi (C) Nanai
    Sexton Clifford
    Aitken Penis
    Critta Hynes Pap

    Ilias, Bullemor, Tulagi, Schneider

Russell Fifita Max King L. Thompson

@GCTitans half AJ Brimson in doubt for round one clash with @TheParraEels

Coach Holbrook hopeful but Brimson has picked up a few niggles. Will Smith the likely replacement #NRL

Surely if he was good value before the trial he still is, it's not like we learned anything new, suspension was always a risk.

For me it was seeing him in the first tackle (I believe) go on report. Followed by throwing punches.... in a trial! Knew he was a risk, but that seemed just too crazy.

In what will be a covid-riddled, and always a injury-riddled season, removing his crazy-suspension-pending-ass seemed smart. He has become Lolo for the Goodnight Kiwis.

The whole ..... everyone gets a fair chance smoke screen, compounded by covid issues, and Langer giving Walters his endorsement seemed like it was going his way. Really hard to tell though.

Others in that price range with far less uncertainty.

Start of the year with no Cleary probably the most important so wouldn’t be surprised if he comes out and averages 60 odd for first 5 weeks
    Same applies to Koroisau

Not so much learning something new as being reminded of something old.

That trial put me off all Bulldogs players tbh, which also should be nothing new but needs repeating now and again.

Bit of a shame the NRL.com Fantasy podcast isn't happening this year. People here probably thought it sucked but I thought it was a decent listen.

Won't take long before someone is made the scapegoat and once Barrett is fired after R6, normally the half is the next target.

Wasn't said last year that Sexton and Fifita played together in high school? A full pre-season under their belt to get those formations under their belt together, plus probably having some secret plays they have from back in the day and they both could really benefit from each other.

Bit scared that Sexton has to maintain a 50 average to pretty much not lose money.
I know he’s popular on here but I just cant pick Sexton.
With that head he looks like he belongs on Beavis and Butthead.
In addition to that, my ex wife is now a Sexton.
    Pretty valid reasons hey!

I know different teams, more experience now, different halves partner, etc. but using a bit of historical data... in the 6 games walker has playing in the halves without Reynolds he has only averaged something like 37 points.

Different to training all pre-season knowing it is your team to run. Very different mindset to one off games.

I owned Cody a couple of seasons ago, he would always do 1 thing brilliantly, with an amazing effort to hit 50 points. The rest of the game you were always thinking, why arent you doing anything? This season he is stepping up to be the leader for 80 minutes, playing both sides of the field like he did on his try assist scoring run to finish last season, averaging 60. (He was only playing left side the start of the season, I watched all the highlights to confirm). This is his season. Dominant playmaker, and had most of the kicking in the trials. When he wants the ball, he will always get it.

Roosters forum wants a young kid who's had bad luck with injuries to do well. As with all club forums there's a tendency to want the next new star to rise as fast as possible, whether they're any good or not (not that Smith isn't good, just don't take the Chooks forum's word for it - even by the standards of internet club message boards it's... not great).

What I am fairly sure of is that either Smith or Momirovski will be out of the team when Suaalii comes back, it's probably a matter of who plays best in the meantime. (Having said that, seems Manu moves to 1/6/7 if there's any injury, so there's still plenty of scope for both Momo and Smith to play.)

Going very slightly cold on Tago, who's a bit of an unknown at centre and may well be in my team just because he's always been in my team, so could feasibly toss a coin for that one.
