TK has really stepped up this season, quality interviews with players and coaches. He is studying journalism and based on what I am seeing, should be getting great opportunities in the industry in time. Would be great to have a guy with a fantasy background in mainstream TV broadcasts.

    Dual Position...

I had Haas but changed to iPap.

Haas just didn't recapture his massive scores last year. Averaged 61.6 as a starting prop and is priced at 63 and will lose points due to TB's and isn't a huge off-loader. Plus with guys like Carrigan, James, Robati, Jensen, Flegler (when healthy), Kennedy... there are a lot of forwards in that squad.

iPap is way more appealing for the same price... DPP, better squad, big minute second rower, can score a try, hard runner, big tackler, has an offload, and averages 65 as a starting second rower last year. Plenty more upside, dpp and better team did it for me.

Coach Holbrook hopeful but Brimson has picked up a few niggles. Will Smith the likely replacement #NRL

While I like Brimson, I am a fan of Will Smith and would love to see him get a decent run.

I am probably not picking Haas.. but..

If any of these other forwards start pulling their weight, it should be good for Haas scores. They aren't going to take mins off him but it will make Haas job easier if others are contributing.

I owned Cody a couple of seasons ago, he would always do 1 thing brilliantly, with an amazing effort to hit 50 points. The rest of the game you were always thinking, why arent you doing anything? This season he is stepping up to be the leader for 80 minutes, playing both sides of the field like he did on his try assist scoring run to finish last season, averaging 60. (He was only playing left side the start of the season, I watched all the highlights to confirm). This is his season. Dominant playmaker, and had most of the kicking in the trials. When he wants the ball, he will always get it.

Definitely understand your thinking and process with this one and it could really play off, but just going off games in the past Walker is a front runner and while Rabbits should probably be running most games this year, Walker can sometimes find himself a little lost in games and with guys like Mitchell, Murray, Cook it won't matter too much if he goes missing because they'll pick up the slack.

*Not saying don't pick him because it could be a massive payout, but just putting in my 2 cents Smile

    Randall
    Angus (VC) Ipap Lolo
    Fifi (C) Nanai
    Sexton Clifford
    Aitken Penis
    Critta Hynes Pap

    Ilias, Bullemor, Tulagi, Schneider

Russell Fifita Max King L. Thompson

    1k ITB.

I'm thinking of going without hooker cover. Can get two of Cook/Haas/Difita and prefer the latter two... bit of a risk, would be resigned to wasting a trade gun for gun if Randall goes down. Not sure.

In saying that the reason could be without Reynolds as a big threat greater effort and focus was put on containing and limiting Cody's impact. It could easily happen this season with teams hoping to focus on him.

In saying that Cody has a great running game and can break off a load of points in a few plays

Haas will almost certainly be on 41 at half time this week after playing the first 40 mins straight up and we'll all be like... hmmm scratch lol!

I thought he looked poor tbh, and I generally rate him as a player. New club etc so should change but he was generally uninvolved to the point where I thought he'd been subbed in the second half but was still there.

Yeah idk I just don't rate any of the hookers atm, I'll obv have to get one at some point but just hope Randall can stay up for a bit. Hooker position is shit this year so just gonna stack my team with guns and hope it pays off, also different strat to most so could either pay off big time or screw me right over lol - guess time will tell Beer

What if you pictured Brandon Smith as a MID with HOK cover instead of HOK with MID cover?

Reminder that just because someone is in a poor team, doesn't mean they are not worth getting in fantasy and that includes halves.

Bottom 4 from 2021 and a few of their fantasy relevant halves:

    Tigers - Doueihi
    Broncos - Gamble
    Cowboys - Dearden
    Bulldogs - Averillo

admittedly two of these guys didn't start the year in the halves but Averillo and Doueihi were season keepers if you had them from day dot.

What I am fairly sure of is that either Smith or Momirovski will be out of the team when Suaalii comes back, it's probably a matter of who plays best in the meantime. From Chooks forum

"If I had to pick between Smith & Suaalii from what I’ve seen of both I would go with Smith.
They have both played 5 NRL games Smith has scored 4 tries Suaalii has scored 1.
Dont get me wrong I think Suaalii can play but from what I’ve seen Smith is better at this stage."

Oh not saying he will be dropped but could possibly fall into a shell if he is made responsible for them not performing. Admittedly, with the team they have I can't see them not improving at all... Can I pick 8 teams they are better than... probably not, but maybe 3-4 teams?

Have you seen Souths draw the first month? I think we may struggle and I have mail from an insider at the club that they expect us to start slow due to making the GF we started pre season a bit later than some other clubs and Covid as well like a lot of clubs has interrupted preparations, add to that new combinations and a new coach mate I wouldn’t be starting with Cody. I think Moses or Sexton are the better options.

I actually wouldn’t be shocked if Souths are 1 and 3 after 4 rounds then we start to come good,

Trying to find cash to beef up my reserves a little. Back to my Cotter point, if I'm prepared to pick a guy that I think will plod it up, make 70k and require a trade, I guess Clark could do the job for cheaper. I think there's probably more upside with Cotter though and would score close enough to keeper scores early season meaning you might keep until the bye, whereas I'd probably want Clark gone before then. Hmm. Certainly feels safer with reserves something like:

    Bullemor/JKing Ramsey Vailea Koula

    DPP’s have been added.
I’m not sure exactly who, but I noticed Mann, Bullemor and Paulo all have it now.
