I've been the same. Probably going to go with the more sensible Clifford choice in my main team, but am keeping my son's burner team with a load of Roosters for Sam purposes. One of my favourite fantasy memories was when that team won the Souths league Smile

Someone mentioned a 4 forward bench for dFifi. Will Smith is there, was the assumption he moves to half for Brimson and another forward comes in?

How are you dealing with centres? I'm off Burton but honestly having Penis, Tago, and Paulo is just disgusting. Perhaps the solution is to run a backline of Pappy, Hynes, Teddy, and slot in Penis with Crichton, carry Paulo/Tago on the bench?

His appeal is that he's somehow goalkicking now. I still am super suspect on this, but Walker seems to be the kind of fella to practice for hours after training every day. He's an extremely motivated kid with a top 3 coaching team around him, he's been heralded by the club since he was 16. Literally impossible for him to be a bad players.

The real question is whether he becomes a Luai 2.0, great IRL but bad for fantasy. Have to take a gamble on his potential I suppose.

It's still up in the air for me. I am having real trouble having faith in my centres atm.

I've said this before but SWalker's dad was one of the best goalkickers I've ever seen - if he can't teach little Sammy how to do it over 18 years in the backyard I don't know whether he'll ever learn, but I'm ready to be wrong...

I like it mate just Coates his base stinks you could go 70k cheaper and get Russell who I think will scores quite a few tries on that Parra left edge.

I see you’re off Tago I get why. I think I might just hold onto him as he probs guns it when Cleary is back.

Coates will be an absolute weapon in that Storm side. Scores will be up and down so don't necessarily want to rely on him in 17, but he'll have hat-trick games and should see big price rises at some point, it's just about knowing when to jump off.

Don't see that upside with Russell at all - decent team but not as good as Storm. That Russell is Parra's fourth choice winger and Coates was recruited specifically to be Storm's new gun tells you about their respective real-life talents.

I recall some info coming through last year that Sammy can slot them at training but battled during games. Might be a case that it was a mental thing? Gee last year every week he looked more and more cactus.

Posted a team on the last page. My centres are old-school mud. Jumped off Aitken to afford Difita, but don't know if that'll stick. I haven't even considered Paulo all off-season - doesn't pass the eye test. Tago and Willie P still look value but, yeah, could be losing 20 points a week each vs Burton/Aitken, so spend the savings wisely.

    EDG: D. Fifita, H. Luke
    HLF: N. Hynes, L. Ilias

    INT: E. Clark, K. Tuilagi, J. Nanai, J. Simpkin

    EMG: T. Wilton, B. Schneider, T. Amone, A. Fifita

    $40k Change.

Probably way too many mid range guys, but I have a lot of HLF choices so that's good.

This year is fair, we both don't have Cleary

Generally I lurk here, and have been since the lists yesterday... have a few points/queries....

    > SCrichton - a lot of teams with him at WFB3. I get that Aitken and Burton are value, and we have Penisini and Tago as well, plus the DPP on offer, but they're still CTR's, we're happy to give up a WFB slot to a CTR? Or by using Crichton this way, you intend to not run with a Tago/Pensini on the pine allowing another slot for a better fantasy position (for $ making)??

    > Without Cleary, Turbo seems like an obvious choice. Even with the point changes he's still an outlier. I've been burned many times before, thinking of Jarryd Hayne, Jamie Soward, Jason Taumololo, Sam Burgess etc after career best seasons, expecting to repeat. Yet they were never far and away the best in the comp and must have captains. Cleary would have been. He's out. Why not Turbo?

    > The HLF/CTR slots are packed with cheaps, can't see myself spending over 500k here. ATM have Hastings as the only one in the 400's, rest 240-350k.

    > WFB I feel this area you get what you pay for, no one is screaming to be picked under 500k. The 600k region has value. I'll probably have 2 Mil on ground here with Turbo.

    > HOK I cannot run with 1. I kinda dislike starting Cook, kinda ugly with Clark/Simpkin as INT. Let the remaining budget make the decision, which is not ideal.
