I guess that is the problem with wfb captains though, compared to a haas/mahoney/etc.

Trbo has a higher range of scoring, although granted his 2021 was amazing, lowest scores were 31, 50, and 59

Turbo had one of the greatest individual seasons in history. Tough to replicate.

He'll undoubtedly remain a must have but at his starting price, you'd have the expectation he'll pick up exactly where he left off last year. Do you expect the whole league to still let him get 2 tries and 3 assists every week.

If so then he's worth it.

IPap had a breakout season last year. May not carry on with it.

Crichton a proven gun over many seasons. Keary back next to him makes for a potent attacking combo.

That's the reason I'm going with Crichton over IPap anyway.

    Yeah, Payten probably does.

Anything else is just guesswork at this stage.

Bit unsure why there isn’t more love for Billy smith 50k less than penisini? Is it just scared of his injury history?

The kid can play and Robbo has shown he picks him when healthy

I've rotated through these three constantly. Can't land on anything definitive. There isn't even a round 13 player there to use as something to split the decision. Honestly if i could 'lock' a player into a position and not be able to touch it, i'd do it, just so i stop mulling it.

Ipap and Crichton do have DPP which could be handy.

I’ve been tossing up which of these 3 for the last 2 weeks and I’m no closer to deciding. At the moment I have Haas and Crichton for the ‘known quantity’ since they have fantasy runs on the board

    Any insights?

Don't most people have Burton and Hynes?

I get RICKY concerns but RICKY also thinks Hudson Young is an origin player in the making. Anyway, not trying to convince anyone. My gut says he's locked into the left edge. He has played 80 every time he has started at 2nd row in the last two years. Its just a price point issue for me.

Hodgson combining with Starling and Whitehead (likely) not an 80 min lock is good for their edges playing big mins.

I rate Hudson Young as a fantasy prospect but awkward price point in a position with decent value so I haven’t considered him
Wouldn’t be surprised if he was averaging 60 in 5 weeks time

Pretty broad question, but who would be the better pick out of Sexton & Hunt? DCE was in my team yesterday, but warmed out of it.

These threads are moving too fast for me to keep up!

I feel like I'm not tinkering anywhere near as much as in previous years, not sure if that's a good or bad sign.

Here's where I'm at at the moment:

    Randall
    Haas Lolo Mann
    DiFi Nanai
    Hunt Illias
    Burton Tago
    Pap Crichton Paulo

    Bullemor Tuilagi Schneider Grant

    Coates Penisini Russell Fifita

    53k

I think I'm fairly happy with that, but still lots of back and forth. Decisions I'm tossing up:

    - Is Grant worth it over Smith/TJP for a similar price
    - Hunt + Mann vs Sexton + Stefano
    - Would like to find a way to have Fermor, could downgrade Paulo to Vailea and start Russell/Coates to free up the cash
    - Hunt down to Clifford to upgrade Lolo to Crichton/iPap

Hunt, Lolo, Mann, and Grant are probably the 4 I'm least set on (and Russell/Fifi among the cheapies). Any thoughts?

I'm not a judiciary expert, but yeah, doesn't seem much in these changes.

    Good
    * clear distinction between careless and reckless, where the latter is graded above the former. Reckless probably never to be used again
    * I guess having a larger pool of match reviewers should lead to better outcomes? In theory
    * reducing carryover ok so that Ravalawa doesn't get 17 weeks for shouldering someone in the breadbasket.

    Eh
    * do fines actually work as a deterrent? I guess maybe if you're a base salary or dev player. Doubt anyone else is sweating $1100. Personally would rather punish on-field offences with on-field punishments.

    Bad
*contrary conduct still less penalised than a lot of other offences. So a non-footy dog act like tripping is less bad than an accidental (grade 1) crusher or shoulder charge where a player was at least attempting a tackle.
    * I think there still has to be some carryover penalty for repeat offenders over a sustained period longer than 12 months. Basically I agree that I don't want to see a cleanskin that happens to make their first two careless tackles within a month wiped out, but I do want to see the dickhead with 23 offences in 10 years punished a bit harder than a first time judiciary visitor, even if the 22nd offence was 13 months earlier. Basically I'm just sick of JWH getting $1100 fines

Saifiiti out for a month. Thompson appears to be ahead of Momoisea in the pecking in order. Enough time to make money. Only Sue with a chance to take a spot and probably takes Momoisea instead. Only have limited MIDs of the bench.

Have missed most of the last few threads, where has everyone landed on AFiFi?

    Trap or worth a punt?

I'm not particularly sold on him, but don't really like Vailea/King/Thompson/Walters either.

This + Walters to Koula discussion have me thinking I may replace Koula with Thompson.
