Are people actually making waves to get Connor Watson in with Verrills out 4-6 weeks?

Watson priced at 52 averages high 50s at hooker.
Don't think he'll make a tonne of money in his time, but shouldn't lose cash and will give good scores.

I'd love to do Erin Clark to Watson, but finding the cash means too much shuffling and not sure its worth it, so might just have to let him go by.

Got him well before lockout so could get Haas back instead of Mahoney and Uto.

Now wondering if should get Grant instead and downgrade Wilton or Billy Smith by 50k but I really like Watson as a player so you're basically saying he's worth a short term punt?

If A Fifita stays fit, how many weeks until you see him out of the team?

Goal kicking and in play kicking tip it for me I think. Surely he kicks a bit next to Wighton

I've got him. Worse case scenario he scores 50 odd anyway and doesn't really lose cash. Is DPP, could be handy.

Sharks v Raiders is huge for me tonight. Wilton, Hynes, Starling, Schneider.

Starling is probably a bad pick but will leave it as is

I don't know how worth it Watson is, but I'd certainly rather have him than Erin Clark.
Ideal case he makes enough money to easy upgrade to Cook/Grant/Mahoney by the time Verrills comes back (possibly not Cook or Grant at that point with origin around the corner)

But that $220k for the upgrade has to come from somewhere
Playing around I can manage ablock trade of Clark/Mann/Teddy/Wilton to Watson/JTB/Hynes/Fermor but not sure if that is a net gain or not.

Have a day to think about it but default will be to just sit tight.

I guess that says it all. It's just that if I had him in my real life team and he was staying fit and playing well, I'd keep him on the bench.

Who is a cheap player under 300k not playing this week but a good shot at being in the team in the near future ?

I went out of my way to avoid initial hooker pair of Randall and Clark and chopped and changed to get rid of Clark. Maybe he has turned some corner from previous seasons and I will regret missing out. Not sure I would lose Mann Teddy Wilton just to make Clark into Watson

I don't really like picking guys with short time frames to start the season. Verrills could be back in round 4 (tbh probably won't be, but he might..).

Have enough problems fixing other errors to give myself someone I have to trade after 4 or 5 weeks.

Just to clarify: Fifi = Andrew Fifita

I've got Taumalolo, Uto, MKing and Bullemor as my MIDs atm.
Andrew Fifita looked good pre-season but the 4 forward bench plus CM9 returning soon doesn't bode well for mins

I thought they might both be goal kicking? Hard to tell who will kick more in play, Wighton and Walker pretty similar

NRL Physio said 1-2 months recovery, so yeah could be a month, but that's on the "fast" side of recovery I guess.

Will be interesting to see what happens though, perhaps they bring Lam onto the bench?
