That's right. Although I think Finicane probably joins in the prop rotation for sharks too, so still gets decent minutes.

Last TU TD from me, sorry. read the fantasy amateurs post and it's sparked the thinking... again!

Had Paulo in all of my drafts and he became Uto really late as I got FOMO from the Ownership %. Regretted it.

    TU: Paulo +60k
    TD: Lolo

Smith is my only Centre cover at the moment as I have Crichton in the WFB spot.

Want to dump Smith next week.

I do have Coates and Russell so could play Coates (which I don't like too much) but to actually upgrade Smith to King I need to move on Coates or Ilias to a 240k guy.

Only thing I can think of is iPap to TPJ. Was keen on TPJ like others were untill that trial game where he looked a bigger suspension risk then we thought.

    Edit is Schiller an option?

Coates Smith to Schiller King would solve all problems if Schiller is ok cover
Schiller has poor job security, Rapana, Kris both due back and potentially Croker.

Have a look at all the 20s, 30s and 40s that Paulo scored last season, then look at Lolo's stats for every year he didnt play with multiple broken hands, as big minute lock (and now without Cotter on the bench).

Yeah i think the switch is worthwhile. Leaves me with 2k in the bank instead of 22k but might save a dud cash maker in Smith.

Smith might still play 80 in the halves this wee... If so and you treat him like a dud 240 player, it could help with an upgrade next week. Might be worth waiting on confirmation whether AJ Brimson in playing???

Well that settles it. I could keep the red dot to get Tago's score, but if we're talking about a dodgy hammy, then no thankyou.

I'm having trouble separating Fermor, Luki and JTB.

Fermor probably the most exciting pick...which side is he on again this year?? Sexton's?? The stats aren't great so far and the Titans might struggle this year particularly to start the season, but he passes the eye test big time.

Luki - The latest interviews with Payten and Gilbert suggest that the four forward bench is to be used to rotate the middles in the heat with the edges playing as many minutes as possible. Not enough stats to guage anything there, but seems to have a bit of X-factor about him, I think he'll find the try-line semi-regularly and the Cowboys to improve this year.

JTB - the above comment about the middles rotating doesn't bode well. But with his PPM of 0.88 starting prop, he only needs 45 minutes to score 40 points, 10 above his price. Payten had previously talked about how much effort he put in and how he has a big motor. 194cm 116kg age 25 should be coming into his prime. Might be the best chance of price rises by virtue of the fact that he is the cheapest. Rather uninspiring pick, but really I just want who will make the most money.

Thanks with TPJ out really just telling me not to panic and wait.

There will be 1 guy who will pop up to be a decent downgrade for Ilias/Coates

    MacDonald
    Wishart
    Ramsey
    W.Smith

Or a guy who gets named like Warbrick

Filthy. No one to trade him to really other than Paulo. Not heaps of value in Paulo though is there? Better to hope TPJ is back next week

Bit of a deep dive into kick metres to start the year and how they correlate with completion percentage, run metres and penalties

    Team - Kick Mtrs - Comp % - Pens - Run Mtrs

    Manly - 740 - 82% - 7 - 1379
    Panthers 537 - 86% - 4 - 2084

    Sharks 337 - 67% - 5 - 1429
    Raiders 376 - 70% - 7 - 1296

    Broncos 664 - 83% - 7 - 1632
    Souths 396 - 66% - 5 - 1580

    Roosters 480 - 66% - 7 - 1431
    Knights 585 - 76% - 7 - 1815

    Warriors 518 - 69% - 4 - 1295
    Dragons 387 - 78% - 8 - 1644

    Tigers 392 - 74% - 9 - 1493
    Storm 465 - 80% - 7 - 1287

So what does all this mean? Teams that don’t drop the ball tend to kick for more metres. Don’t think we needed stats to confirm that. Exceptions being panthers and dragons. Didn’t watch dragons game but panthers spent a lot of time in Manly’s half so make sense they didn’t have as far to kick it despite completing well. Not really sure how penalties compare to this time last year so can’t comment on if the rule changes are impacting in that aspect

That’s why they say chuck the late lockout players on bench in R1 so you can get any position with late out

I swapped him in for Uto but only a few points lost as will probably become grant next week so can live with that

Gunna focus on saving trades to cover injuries/change of role more this year (unless a must have cheapie pops up of course). For me, at this point, JKing and Tago are desirable, but not must have.

Looks like I took you a year early in fantasy fantasy. Playing this way will get you towards the top more often than not
