2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 9

Team lists are coming.

When they get named we will create a separate thread to contain the team lists. This is primarily so they can be found easily and you don't have to remember which page of the fantasy thread they are on.

Feel free to discuss their fantasy implications in either thread.

Pointers for me reading the Fox early mail.

- Latrell being named at centre will be very good. I do think he might just be named there but will play wing mostly and not score as high but just the DPP value of being named there will be very useful.
-Brad Abbey does have a bit of competition for a spot but if he's named at FB well there's the risk Des will pull a Des and play Hoppa at FB but job security alone would make him worth looking at as unless he stinks he's got 4 months to play.
-If Parcell's not named to start then I might just take the punt on Cherrington and hope his lone 80 minute game gets him a high enough score he can continue to make a handy profit when he has to share it. Either that or take Tyler Randell as a risky mid-range HOK.
-No Barba at FB is no good. Contradicts what Flanagan said about Barba being too good for the bench though
-Not surprised Fresh Prince gets the first crack at FB in absence of Moylan. Merrin at Lock is good but no DPP for him then.

For the people who are picking gallen and fifita does the weather worry you about there round 1 scores ?

I can't work Flano out. Wakes up one morning and talks up Bird as the fullback. Next day mentions Barba is an 80 min player and that's how he will use him. Now he's saying Bird at fullback gives you that strength bla bla bla. The guy is a complete tosspot.

EDIT: He's not considering Barba for the wing is he? Surely not.

I knew this would happen. I took a break from work today, especially so I could catch up on the Fanatics pages without getting home to find 30 pages unread. 10 pages just since I left for work this morning! This place is going huuuuuge!

I put J Niko back in my team.

If the NRL want an 8-12 week suspension for Pearce, that's plenty of time for him to make some good cash.

Any chance of getting a locked thread with Paceys late lists for every game so we don't have to trawl the main thread 5 mins before kickoff?

A lot of forwards across the board will get lower round 1 scores as they get bigger breathers due to the heat / lack of complete match fitness.


Not a lot you can do about it, you are picking a team for the season not just the first 2 weeks.

The media have been saying for the last few weeks McKendry was in the doghouse with Griffin and Merrin would play prop.Now Merrin is playing lock.

He played there the last few rounds of 2015 and he killed it, fair enough to give him another shot if it's only a 2 week proposition at max.
