I'm considering captaining Mahoney over Haas again. Not sure if it's a big brain move or just repeating the same failure.

By far his lowest tackle count in a non injury game on the back of so many first half points. Mahoney is not someone I’m worrying about any time soon

Arthurs averages over 30 at ctr - thoughts on him vs Paulo (for a 50k saving)?

I was thinking great I have enough outs for a crack at the double loop, then I realised I have potentially 5 out plus Illias and Koula! FFS!

- Ilias : was a bit meh but is worth SFA and, at this stage, a regular green dot so he can stay put. Not spending any bank to upgrade him to someone just as questionable.
- Amone : (see ilias)
- Smith : was comical but...if he plays he stays
- Russell : fuck!!!! Lets see what TLT shakes out
- Lolo : sorely tempted to rage trade but unless a super duper downgrade which allows a bigger bank appears he can stay on mins watch for a week or so
- Mahoney : FFS surely that can't happen twice in a row.....can it???
- Haas : I swapped him out for Mahoney because I got the heebee jeebees about Clark....I am an idiot
Edit : The one thing in my favour is that I am addicted to cover so can deal with the outs without trading

I don’t have Mahoney, but figuring his tackles were 15 less due to the amount of stoppages and kicks for goal earning in to actual minutes of play?

Angus is a bit of a gamble on upside
Generally won’t give you a sub 40 but isn’t as consistent as Haas. Angus’s 60 odd average with come with some high scores and some 40s

Yeah, that’s what I was trying to say, haha. Wouldn’t be worried if I had him.
This and the Burton trade rage are extremely reactionary.

Exactly what I was not sure about.
Depends whether you think R1 is the new normal or just a blip. Last season they were pretty even.
EDIT: not worried in terms of keeping him, more whether he is still a captaincy consideration vs Haas. I think the answer is "worth considering but don't because everyone will captain Haas and you're a coward"

I feel a bit this way about Fermor as well
Edge getting moved to centre due to injury is probably going to happen 5+ times this year
He is still the starting (and probably big minute) edge in a team that should score lots of points this year even with a bottom 8 finish
Could easily see a score like Liam Martin this week

Yeah, picked up Angus for the average and Mahoney for the C (plus the hooker coverage). Not usually a captain roulette guy so I’ll probs leave it on Reed

Arthas for Billy Smith. Find out soon on TLT

Vailea is only out for three weeks, right?
Have we already forgotten about the wasted trades in the centres carousel from last year?
Don't trade in Arthurs.

Seems like hookers across the board had lowish scores in round 1. Milch mentioned it was the lowest scoring round since PVL ball began. A couple hookers had scores saved by tries tho.
Mahoney a complete outlier. Would normally average mid 40 tackles per game even before PVL

He strikes me as the guy most likely to leave my team when I need the cash to bring Cleary in though.

Getting rid of Burton the definition of "don't look a gift horse in the mouth".
Dude got 39 in a game with a 1980s scoreline. If you have him, it's to play CTR longer-term and his base has just been proven to be at the low end of a CTR keeper average. Others are desperately scratching around for Smith and Vailea replacements. But sure waste a trade on removing the gift horse.
