Have we already forgotten about the wasted trades in the centres carousel from last year?
Don't trade in Arthurs.

Getting rid of Burton the definition of "don't look a gift horse in the mouth".
Dude got 39 in a game with a 1980s scoreline. If you have him, it's to play CTR longer-term and his base has just been proven to be at the low end of a CTR keeper average. Others are desperately scratching around for Smith and Vailea replacements. But sure waste a trade on removing the gift horse.
Yeah if you own Burton, 100% have to hold him. He's a lock-in keeper at CTR, even if he only averages mid 40s, any more is a bonus

Ilias, Coates, Amone, JTB, A.Fifita, Lisone are the players who are on the fringe of my team and performed poorly last round. JTB will become Starling because of injury but I'm happy to give the others a 2nd chance. I'm a little sad I picked Lisone over m.king but otherwise I think I'm happy enough with my team

I save my massive risks for the run home, just play it safe in the early rounds. Haas v Dogs looks great!robelgordo wrote:
Exactly what I was not sure about.
Depends whether you think R1 is the new normal or just a blip. Last season they were pretty even.
EDIT: not worried in terms of keeping him, more whether he is still a captaincy consideration vs Haas. I think the answer is "worth considering but don't because everyone will captain Haas and you're a coward"

Starling has to be a worse pick this season than last.
Its only 2 weeks and Hodgson hasn't just had a blow up with the coach.

Yeah, that’s what I was trying to say, haha. Wouldn’t be worried if I had him.
This and the Burton trade rage are extremely reactionary.
He strikes me as the guy most likely to leave my team when I need the cash to bring Cleary in though.
Yep, understandable if going to Cleary.

Love him. You made me google and kinda shocked he's playing tennis again, and outside Australia too. Then of course just casually destroying the #8 in the world. And there's bad blood between them previously lol. He's is Homer Simpson to this lads Grimey here.

Starling reeks a bit of '2021 Starling' as opposed to '2020 Starling'

No guarantee Pompey doesn't move in and Arthurs is pushed to the wing or out of the side for Kosi.
Vailea is out for 3-4 weeks.
6-8 weeks is DWZ.
Arthurs has a historical average of low 30s in the centres.
He's also played half of his career on the wing for an average under 20.
He'd need to average 30+ for a number of weeks to make enough cash to be worth the trade.
He's never played more than six games at centre in a season.
Just seems incredibly, incredibly risky at very long odds going on his history.
EDIT: Sorry missed last year when I said he'd never played more than six games a season.
Played 9 games at centre for Broncos last year for an average of 25 (28 if you want to remove an injury effected game)
All signs point to it being a bad trade.

Are we actually expecting anything drastic today? Too early for teams to start rebuilding and most of everything else is already known.

I don’t have Mahoney, but figuring his tackles were 15 less due to the amount of stoppages and kicks for goal earning in to actual minutes of play?
10 tries and 3 penalty goals, at 2 mins each, and 5 mins for the last penalty goal where Moses was taking his time, that's 29 mins of game time.

I heard that they may not have the funds for an immediate transfer, more like 2nd half of the season type deal

I love Kyrgios too - He gets in the heads of sports fans who don't understand that sport is entertainment and entertainment is business. He breaks the charade that sport is some sort of pure distillation of human endevour - eff that, I just want to be entertained.
