I have been listening to all the podcasts and the interview with Payten.

The consensus is that it was Lolo's first game in, after only training for 10 days back from injury, played in Townsville heat. Hardly surprising that for a first hit out he only played 51 minutes. Payten is saying both his first and second stints are going to be longer. I am expecting more like 60 minutes per week as he builds up.

I was looking at trading him out, but have managed to find trades that allow me to keep him. Would hate to trade him out this week and he breaks out a 65 in 60 minutes in round 2, which we all know he is very capable of.

I agree lolo deserves another week. I just hate having red dots with no cash generation at this stage of the season. If lolo had scored 10 more I probably wouldn’t want to move him so that’s likely my answer

Tago not a sure thing but I wanted him in preseason and don’t want to play one of Illias, smith or Amone as that’s how I only got 776 this week (Amone and smith)

I can shift Mann to half and burton to centre and loop Illias and Amone. Then just don’t look at russell staring at me. I don’t feel great about it but perhaps I should be thinking of perceived potential benefit from these two trades vs perceived potential benefit from keeping those trades for the future. Tago passes the 100-150k rule for me and very small chance of keeper centre. Gilbert far less certain

Not sure how it has gone under the radar, but Dylan Edwards ran for 344 meters in round 1, with a score of 59 without a try or try assist. That is more meters than Too had in any game last season!

Could be back to 2020 form, when he averaged 54 in 80 minute games in the regular season.

Started the season priced at 40. Could be a good POD for those looking for an in form former top 5 WFB.

Fair point but if you wanna pay more or have the bank to do so I would go Arrow.

If you want more spare bank then go Gilbert.

Not sure I actually needthe cover, more about cash generation I think

    Illias covering Scheider/Clifford
    Paulo covering CTR/WFB
    Fifi/Bully covering Mid
    Tuilagi/Fermor covering EDGE

Would be losing additional Half cover to Gain additional CTR/EDGE

    I traded Amone for Grant.
I watched Amone closely and he did not get involved at all.
    I’d go with Tago.

    I would 100% do it.

M.King if you want to save up some cash for Clearly. Tago if you want someone you can play in your 17 with relative comfort.

That said, they could score similar from here on in and M.King may just tick the second box quite similarly to Tago.

If I had neither I'd go with M.King to have that extra bit of cash to use later, but I am annoyed that I am missing out on Tago.

Regarding Lolo, I don't have him in Fantasy but I have him in SC and VSDT and no way I'd be getting rid of him yet. I've heard all the reasons he didn't play big minutes (coming back from injury, underdone, heat etc.) and it all makes enough sense to me. No need to run your best player into the ground in R1 of a full season. I think he'll come good.

What are peoples thoughts on Jackson Hastings?
I started the season with him after watching him the last few years over here in Super League and thinking there was definitely some upside on his starting price, but now not so convinced after only getting 22 in round 1.
Obviously attacking stats are harder to come by against the Storm but now questioning whether his base is going to be what I thought it’d be. I’d assume he’ll be making more than 10 tackles per week usually which should increase his base (seems that Storm put a lot of traffic down Brooks’ side with him making 29 tackles but surely this will balance out over a longer term), but the bigger issue looks to be Hastings only getting a low share of the kick metres where I was hoping for more of an even split.
What are everyone’s thoughts on him, is he a hold for now and wait and see or should I be looking to offload him?

I don't think he'll be getting bulk kick metres with Brooks there, but would give him another look for attacking stats and involvement against teams that aren't the Storm.

Does CHT play left or right?

Half-tempted to captain Difita vs Warriors even ahead of Haas, but CHT, Berry, Aitken is a fairly solid defensive edge. Ash Taylor, not so much.
