Anytime I see The King putting on a show I interprete it as a pisstake, so funny. Never seen him show it in a way that puts me off him.

Would be for fullback if true.

I can hear another train coming...

We've just spent a whole weekend here with people crying about the Titans being unable to find a pass to their most dangerous attacking asset.

Now let's criticise a guy for offering "no threat" except throwing bullets to their most dangerous attacking asset.

I know everyone here hates him, but it's becoming unhinged when people think he might get dropped for Isaako, or isn't in the top half a dozen or so FBs in the comp.
He also tackled a rampaging Fifita 1 on 1 in round 1, which is no mean feat.

There's a number of players in the NRL that make up for their short-comings with their work ethic.
I remember Ivan saying that Nathan was far from the most talented junior coming through the ranks but made up for it with his work ethic - definitely seems a positive characteristic for mine

Yeah was only a throwaway comment, in all honesty though Gutho had one good year 3-4 years ago and has been riding off that year ever since. He is a liability under the high ball, has a couple drop balls in him a game and not that great of a defender. He has a couple good games a year and people forgive him because of those games. I don't rate him at all, but he still is ahead of Isaako I guess.

    Gutho remains:

Yeah I dunno. Assuming he even replaces Campbell, it solves some problems and creates others IMO.

Surely he isn't straight in as starting fullback, more a contingency plan. They obviously backed Campbell to be their fullback after last year, you don't just give up on him after two games.

Could totally see Isaako never getting a game unless through injury, just like at the Broncos

As an aside, in the Telegraph they suggested the Titans upgrade Campbell’s contract to pay him $2k every time he passes the ball to Fifita. lol!

Will give them experience in a very inexperienced spine.

He wasn't first choice fullback last season, only played when Brimson was injured

IMO J-Ho moved AJ who is quite the formidable fullback into the halves to accommodate for Campbell, who did have a good end to the year. Titans pushed the Eels in a tight game, mind you with not much defence, and then beat the Warriors last weekend. I don't think his spot is in any doubt. If anything, it'll be a depth signing or he could possibly push find a spot on the wing or even on the bench (if Will stinks it up)

Yeah but once the plan was for Brimson to go into the halves then if they didn't back Campbell they would have done something about it in the offseason. Just seems like a "hmm if Campbell doesn't work out, or gets injured, we are really thin at fullback so we might as well grab Isaako for the year"

I miss the good ol days where teams would be released with a live update type thing on the NRL website.
People would chat and give their squad predications as it got closer to release and then add comments on the teams once named, which was generally at different times rather than all at once.

TLT definitely doesnt have the same hype as it did back then. Altho perhaps Im just getting older and not as easily hyped
