I'm feeling good about Haas this week. Carrigan took that knock to the knee at training, he may be a late withdrawal. If he plays, he may get less mins than usual. Should be a big lean on Haas by the coach this game, the derby is obviously a huge game for the club every year. Huge crowd will be in for it. A strong win really sets up the season. I feel he will be absolutely pumped for it and might just storm over for a try.

I made a rookie error starting without Haas as a Broncos supporter. Went with Hooker cover with Mahoney instead, even though I didn’t really want him. Just couldn’t stand the thought of Erin Clark in my team.

Now I’m constantly torn between wanting Haas to rip in for the Broncs, and getting a solid rest so I don’t lose more ground on the field. It’s going to cost me $100k to rectify and that is money I probably need for Cleary.

Mahoney is a worry. Not sure if low tackles are due to other teams playing wide of the ruck or the eels making a concious effort to reduce his defensive workload. On the upside, he’s been playing 80 minutes.

I'm looking forward to the Cleary Conundrum the next few weeks.

What if he hits the ground running and doesn't look like losing any cash?
Will coaches pull their team apart?
Is Cleary worth sacrificing someone like David Fifita?
How long can you wait before pulling the trigger?
Do you forego trading in other potential guns to get him in?

Angus owners wait before you sell him apparently there's a chance Sitili gets ruled out so Angus would start on the favoured left edge.

if he averages around 25-27 that is what will happen. The usefulness would be more in funds freed up bringing him in rather than the outright cash he makes.

If knights ever get back to full strength I don't think he'll be useful, but might be enough injuries/other concerns to keep him around for a while

Pretty sure that is what will happen but I'm trading him in anyway, you get a few free swings at the start of the year when your swag of trades is overflowing and the supply of cows is sparse so why not??

As I said before I am replacing a long term red dot (Russell) but I wouldn't be trading him in for a green dot that had a shit game last week (Tuilagi, Nanai or even Ilias) but may have considered it if it put some money in the bank for an upgrade.

Waiting on final team lists to make a final decision but even then I think Starling can wait a week.....maybe

Edit : Captaining Hynes paying off has reduced the desperation level considerably.....I also think Mahoney comes good this week....maybe

Not sure if confirmed anywhere. Joey Johns just on radio said Ponga won’t be playing this weekend. Back next week

If he is still scoring like Cleary 2021 (I expect his post nerf scores to be in the same range with slightly less attacking stats) then noone is off limits for me. I would trade out Haas if it meant getting Cleary

If there is a perfect cow next week and Cleary starts then Mahoney and Crichton are gone easy peasy

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Like MS, I would happily punt Haas, but I'm already running low on mids so it may become tricky. Mahoney is already on the chopping block and looking like an obvious trade for Cleary (another reason Starling looks like a good trade in)

I will not be getting him first week he plays though.

Same here, though I also have Munster who I would give up first to get Cleary (unless I can somehow raise enough money to sell Clifford to him, but that's highly unlikely)

Wests Tigers have signed NSW under-18 prop Sione Fainu from rivals Manly on an immediate long-term deal.

Fainu will make the switch to the Tigers from the next two-and-a-half seasons after being granted a release from the Sea Eagles.

The 20-year-old is yet to play first grade but, at 185cm and 109kg, will join the Tigers’ top squad and push for a NRL spot immediately.

Fainu represented NSW under-18 in 2019 when he was named the state player of the year.

He is the younger brother of sidelined Manly hooker Manase Fainu, who hasn’t played since 2019.

Tigers huh? Won't have to push too hard to get into that rotation.

    Don't know about that.
If the Tigers signed him, can he really be any good?

I'll be looking at Taumalolo to Cleary, but depending on who else is around at the time may need to drop someone more expensive to make it happen

If I go Angus to Starling this week...I can upgrade anyone over $610k to Cleary next week (I will let him have a run first though so it can wait a week....maybe).

The smart move would have been to go Mahoney to Starling but the Angus benching threw a spanner in those works and if I do go through with the Angus/Starling trade Mahoney will probably have to go for a decent mid in the following few weeks.....not ideal.

Is anyone else having problems reversing trades? I traded Uto and Mann for Yeo and May. Have both Yeo and May on the bench, neither Uto and Mann have played yet, I don't know why I can't reverse either trade?

I can't roll back my team as Wilton is locked from last night.

Try and get the two players you traded in back on the bench before hitting reverse...it could be a positional thing
