I wouldn't get hung up on 1k/10k ranks at this point in the season. Nothing a good bye round or having enough trades to play 17 in the last few rounds can't sort out.

Cleary would likely need to score sub 40 to drop under the million dollar barrier, so everyone waiting better not be hoping for trbo-level price drops

Of the top 200 teams, 171 captained Haas in round 1
Of the top 1000 teams, 810 captained Haas in round 1

Of the top 1000 teams, only 19 of them captained Haas in round 1, and Hynes in round 3. The highest ranked of those is at 61st

There is only 9 teams in the top 2000 that captained Mahoney in round 1

The highest ranked is at 58th. He/she captained Mahoney in both rounds 1 and 2.. but captained Hynes in round 3 (came 4th in round rankings). They were 8303rd after round 1.

There is only four teams in the top 2000 that have captained David Fifita every round. Highest rank is at 308, with the other three at 1375, 1581, and 1978

Yeah captaincy would be a big factor this early on. For me getting captaincy scores of 36, 51 (Mahoney) and 48 (Curran) have left me a bit behind

Not jumping on Cleary straight away but that’d be a factor no doubt for those who are

I think if you have Mahoney + Crichton it's a no brainer to jump on (C)leary

It's trickier if you have one of them and then have to force the issue with a 2nd trade you don't really want to do.
