My 1 trade week is looking like a 2 trade week.

    Bully + Billy > BroJo + LeoTho

Leaves 231K in the bank... I just have no clue how I can turn that into Cleary.

Of the top 1000 teams, 810 captained Haas in round 1

Of the top 1000 teams, only 19 of them captained Haas in round 1, and Hynes in round 3. The highest ranked of those is at 61st

The Haas captain thing has been a double blow for those without him, because others took punts on the likes of Mahoney or Crichton as captain, or picked up Taumololo as their gun Mid.

Having Haas, Arrow, Ming, Jing, LeoThompson and Mann has me covered for now. Murray, Yeo and Papali'i obvious targets if you can fit them in.

    Thoughts on captains this week?

I'm stuck between Hynes, Haas and Munster

Haas is the traditional safe bet, but with the Broncos having their middles returning, I'm not sure he'll get enough minutes to rack up a 50 in base, his PPM has dropped a bit.

Hynes is the flavour of the month, and I suspect a lot will captain him after two big scores, he just fills the stat sheet. I'm somewhat expecting him to regress to the mean this week, but he's almost 40% owned and a lot will captain him.

Munster is the POD captain, and is up against the Dogs, but it's a dangerous game, as I found out the hard way in round 1. I'm still considering it because he's had significantly increased involvement compared to last year and managed to bang out a 45 with -28 in demerits, but if he goes down early, it could cost me big time.

I have Cleary and Hynes, I am Capt Hynes.

But I do like your POD, who I do not own.

Nice work having Cleary already, I'm in the process of clearing the decks to get him in next week.

for my captain pick, the head says Hynes, the heart says Munster. I just have to decide which one to trust

In the 4 games since Maloney left, Cleary averages 94 against the Rabbits.

I am part of an elite FOMO group then.

I did the math, I really needed to off Fifi for Cleary, and I would have had to lose another keeper next week, so pulled the trigger.

I am not going to lie, I am nervous I have gone too soon, but he is an elite gun, I am prepared to risk it for the biscuit.

I will have a similar problem next week, as unless we get a 220-240k cheapie emerging next week, I will almost certainly have to sell Teddy in order to afford Clifford to Cleary

One of them can put up 30 points of negatives in a game, is he who you want as your captain?

We would need to check if you were ok after a performance like that.

If he can still get 45 points with all those negatives, he's got enough base for me. He is a man on a mission

I would Hynes (c) as everything goes through him & gk. Munster is the POD move but unlike Hynes there is Hughes & Pappy he has to share points with. On Haas I wouldn't write him off because the bench is Flegler (frf) K. Heth (lock), Robati (edge/middle but he doesn't tend to play big mins) & Walters (utility) & they are playing the Warriors.

Hynes has had two 80s in three games, and in all-weather. McInnes is having an impact and Sharks are playing good footy, Moylan is next to useless and Hynes has to run everything.

He might 'regress' as you say, but I am not betting into that. I think he is the real deal.

Munster looks like he is continuing his run of big scores from the end of last year, the demerits look like a blip not a pattern

When I say regress for Hynes, what I mean is that he might get a 50 or 60 instead of another 80+
