I mostly play Fantasy just to beat the Parra tragic that I work with. I work in finance and take more of a quant approach with a bit of wisdom of crowds to how I play fantasy. Rationale for Fifita to May was:
Expecting Fifita to drop approx $30k
Expecting May to gain approx $30k.
$60k gets me approx 4 points per week for 20 weeks = 80 points
Expected to cost me ~ 30 points assuming Fifita would have outscored May.
Generated enough cash to go Burton to Cleary next week in 1 trade. So it didn’t really cost me an extra trade (was either the extra trade this week or need an extra next week to get Cleary).
Cleary likely to drop ~$30k if I got him this week.
So on balance, was likely to be better taking less points this week to move Fifita this week. That’s roughly how I approach things. I got lucky and pulled it outta my arse that May outscored Fifita.
Happy to try to contribute more, but as noted feel outta my depth.
Makes sense, good to see the theory behind the trade which was why i was curious
