its nice to see people from back then. Especially people who’ve been pioneers. Hats off to you boozey, I think of you as the hooker guy not the team tracker guy
Edit. Didn’t you win the autofill league? That’s god status to me
I think at least once, and it bet my real team I think that year too. Learnt alot from those autofill leagues
Basically taught me no matter what team you start with you can trade your way out of it and to hang in there
Better to play it slightly safer and increase the risk depending on how it starts, rather start with a crazy POD team for the sake of being a fantasy hipster haha
Hence the template or hooker team came out the following year, simply to give a stable start with solid stable scorers
I still choose a few placeholder players now, they are easy to move with no attachment (Mahoney/Watson/Fifita)
Some may call these players keepers but to me I would rather increase value and pick up underprices/rising players than sit on a player not firing
I still have Taumalolo and AFB left of these and while they haven't worked out great so far points wise. they easily allow me to move them on with no attachement. We will see if they survive the next few weeks though the goal is to hold their price and play the first bye
I always build my team from cows up so the last few placeholder players are whats left of the bank account and where I can afford to splurge
So while I may not get the right guns to start, i do get the right cows/earners rather than duds for the sake of it
It usually pays off later when you can pick up the fallen guns
Anyways off to bed to dream about Feijoas
