Nope. Could've started the year with Haas/iPap, choose Fifita out of the three. He's literally been the worst scorer out of all of them, and I've put the C on him 3 weeks. Now I get Cleary, and he scores the same as Fifita. Sucks paying top dollar for both of them, while others will get them hundred K or so cheaper and not have to get their "low" scores.
Other folks captaining Haas/Other gun, cheaper than Fifita and scoring more. It's BS.
I apologize if this is a bit of an arse hole thing to say, but had you seen Fifita before choosing him?
Fifita is boom or bust (being 40s), higher ceiling lower floor - he's not a busy player, never has been.
Haas comparatively is a busy player, not the ceiling of Fifita, but certainly not the floor - but in a much better head space than he was to start last year (recent loss of his brother and that court case).
Papali'i closer to a Haas style, but had a slight question over how Arthur would use him this year (edge or middle).
Fifita also had a new and especially young spine around him, that was well mentioned on here.
Choosing Fifita was a glory play that hasn’t paid off, but that was part of the risk. It's not BS or bad luck, it's just the absence of good luck.
Injuries are straight out bad luck, like Beth with Brandon Smith in R1, the rest of it is pretty much on us and our decision making - and I say this as someone currently floundering due to some unlucky injuries, and some decisions that haven't panned out like I'd wanted
