Easy as in hindsight. Mahoney or Cook was one of those calls i was flipping a coin on, had no real preference for either, just landed on Mahoney for reasons

Horses for courses mate. Mahoney will come right

Meant to say the tee arrived week or so ago! Hasn’t been able to use it due to the hand fracture but he’s aiming to be back for the league QTR game so will send over over photos of the tee ‘working’ when they batter the CAS boys. His words not mine, he’s really grateful mate so thank you again

Instead of Cleary & Koula I might get Cook & T. May instead...Will probably wait until after origin to get Cleary as his price should be much lower then.

All these lower scores are what we used to get in fantasy when 900+ was an excellent score so I'm liking it.

Maybe 2 weeks ago was waiting to send a pic mate as he had it first weekend it’s arrived but we were hammering a side early so stopped kicking conversions to keep the game going longer

Nope. Could've started the year with Haas/iPap, choose Fifita out of the three. He's literally been the worst scorer out of all of them, and I've put the C on him 3 weeks. Now I get Cleary, and he scores the same as Fifita. Sucks paying top dollar for both of them, while others will get them hundred K or so cheaper and not have to get their "low" scores.

Other folks captaining Haas/Other gun, cheaper than Fifita and scoring more. It's BS.

I apologize if this is a bit of an arse hole thing to say, but had you seen Fifita before choosing him?
Fifita is boom or bust (being 40s), higher ceiling lower floor - he's not a busy player, never has been.
Haas comparatively is a busy player, not the ceiling of Fifita, but certainly not the floor - but in a much better head space than he was to start last year (recent loss of his brother and that court case).
Papali'i closer to a Haas style, but had a slight question over how Arthur would use him this year (edge or middle).

Fifita also had a new and especially young spine around him, that was well mentioned on here.
Choosing Fifita was a glory play that hasn’t paid off, but that was part of the risk. It's not BS or bad luck, it's just the absence of good luck.

Injuries are straight out bad luck, like Beth with Brandon Smith in R1, the rest of it is pretty much on us and our decision making - and I say this as someone currently floundering due to some unlucky injuries, and some decisions that haven't panned out like I'd wanted

Actually, that being said, Mahoney is a real head scratcher.
I'm still not sure why he hasn't done better, I guess maybe that one is just a bit of an unpredictable outcome

Just missing 10+ tackles per game on previous seasons, even back in 2019 before PVL ball he was avg'ing 47 a game.

So far this year at 33 (with a real low count in that silly round 1 game).

Unfortunately seems like he is pacing himself. Just not that active in defense. Maybe that changes as match fitness improves, maybe carrying an injury. He does look a little chunky

MS pointed this out...his tackle count is down because he's defending a bit wider & not in the middle & he isn't running much from dh in what seems an attempt to pace himself.

I think this was mainly due to Jones not being quite ready/match fit.
First game for the year and only just getting over Covid.
He looked like he was struggling.
My guess is he will build up to playing more minutes every week.
Frizell went off with a hamstring which moved Mann to his edge and Crossland jumped into lock.
It was the main reason both Mann and Randall played 80.

Personally, I am blaming the forum for making me have Fifita, Mahoney, and Crichton to start, and for making me bring in Cleary this week. It's a lot easier that way.

Arrow spending most of the 2nd half out at ctr not ideal but when you do a one on one tackle causing the opposition player to lose the ball, surely thats a TO? Scorers probably gave those points to Murray

I feel a bit ripped off with Arrow he was in line for a mid 50's score then Paulo gets ruled out re his HIA so Arrow plays in the ctr's in the 2nd half. He still scored 41 which I'm happy with but those extra 10-15 points would of made me happier.

Yeah, I more meant a head scratcher in terms of in retrospect.

I don't think there's any information prior to the season beginning that could've made him a questionable selection, it's just a genuine unpredictable performance change.

Mahoney owners definitely have my sympathies

I know this is satire, but it genuinely is easier to just blame yourself for every decision. As long as you can separate your fantasy ability from your self-worth, then it's no drama.

Makes the game more fun, and talking trash on here more tolerable.

Cook next 3 games = DRAGONS, BULLDOGS, wests

Cleary v Cook will be my decision this week

He could easily go huge against anyone. Don’t think opposition is relevant. Souths probably a better attacking matchup than Bulldogs atm
