NRL Fantasy 2022 Part 23 - Flegler is the real moreton bay bug

On Sam Walker & his gk'ing as a gk myself I can't understand the lack of timing he has on his kicks. When he kicks from the sideline he just gets no length on the ball. He's trying too hard thinking he has to give the ball a good whack which throes off the timing instead of just kicking threw the ball. The most important thing when you kick is where you plant the non kicking foot this gives you the accuracy & timing. e.g too close to the ball & you will push the kick, too far away from the ball & you will hook it.

Got 6 pts in 80 mins against the Broncos last season.
44 v Warriors
67 v Dragons
49 v Bulldogs
28 v Titans
39 avg, season avg 41 (starts only)
This season he has scored better against Rabbitohs and Sea Eagles than Knights and Cowboys.
I’d probably sell him and get him back for the games against good teams…

Should be sorted in house if anything happens at all, there was that video of Cody Walker fly kicking some dude in the street and he got nothing for it from memory
In the Cody Walker incident though, he was wearing simply jeans and no shirt, which protects him from NRL judiciary prosecution. Walker also used the "special move" of a flying kick when the other fella's back was turned. These fully clothed dudes don't know the immunity laws and may face the NRL's wrath.

he reminds me of me having a crack. skinny fucken legs. over think having to get the distance and therefore mistime it constantly

Teddy took over because swalker had a foot issue. Post game he was walking around with an ice bag over his footrhinoceroo wrote:
Always the way. One team's sell is another team's buy...
I've been patient with him... expecting rollercoaster scores but hasn't hit any heights, and the missed tackles and lack of KMs do smash his base. Goal-kicking was the huge plus, but (with Ted taking over vs Cowboys) they might finally have realised that he's unfixable at that. If I'm Trent Robinson I have Momo practicing kicking all week...
But, yes, if you're a non-owner he does look a potential value buy at a price bracket where there aren't any other halves.

Ok, thanks. Weird that it still wasn't Momo, who's the only one in the 17 (SST too, I suppose, but not sure he was on the field) who's ever shown any aptitude for goalkicking.

Whats more important is how your team is setup, volatile bench player positions, NPR bench full of red dots, Cows failing, injuries
Hang in there and get your team healthy and you will make gains soon enough
Have seen a few teams scoring huge but their bench is sketchy and basically filler
Let the cows do their job, keep the points ticking over and it will work itself out
Trading sideways or chasing the new flavour might get you a couple weeks of points but there might be better long term opportunities to improve your team so give it some thought
What if you are scoring poorly AND your bench is sketchy/basically filler

There is no way Haas will be getting any suspension.

the assumptions being thrown around are a little wild based on 10 seconds of footage that shows.. hardly anything at all.

Can a guy with a historical average of 70 odd playing 80 minutes on the edge really regress to a 45 point player with seemingly little role change?
Im not buying this “lazy Fifita”, he’s always played like that and it never stopped him busting defences open. Am I just chasing my tail expecting the Titans to “unlock” Fifita?
As long as nothing extreme happens with team lists I'll probably be bringing Fifita in. Even a regression in number of tries will still see him score in the 50s

Aside from one person who clearly doesn’t own him in fantasy, they’ve all been pretty tongue-in-cheek

Parra have signed Moala Graham Taufa (240k wfb) from the Roosters, he played flegg on the weekend. There's a rumour he might get a run on the wing.
Played 5 games of cup for the Bears last year, scoring 4 tries, 29 fantasy points a game on average

sorry didn't mean on this thread, i had just had a quick lurk around twitter and BHQ (lol). BHQ is typically peak embarrassing. half of them are calling for his contract to be torn up (and not tongue in cheek)

Blake is killing it on the wing. Simonnsen hasn't done much but hasn't done much wrong either, might be injury cover in case they lose yet another winger.

854 for the week. Not sure why I changed Captain from Haas to Hynes so left 35 points there. Then Swapped Leo in for Ming like a few did, another 22 there.
So could have got over 900. Coulda, shoulda, woulda I guess. Fermor being a late out probably didn't mean too much given everyone scored poorly in that game.
Only real problem I have is Vailea not playing and earning money. But if I wanted to be picky I could move Arrow and Sexton on, which I probably will.
Options
Hooker: Cotter, Starling or Hetherington value buys or buy Cook/Grant.
MID: Murray, Papali'i, Yeo or Curran. Not sure I could handle the ups and downs of TPJ or Lolo.
Half: Brown, DCE, Hunt & obviously Cleary. Not sure on going Cleary just yet before picking up another gun.
Happy to hold Burton and Aitken. 5th and 6th best averages behind Gagai, May and Crichton & Tago. Have Tago too.
Walsh is on my radar as a Fullback pickup. Feel stupid for not having Stephen Crichton. Ponga going to lose some cash big-time also. He may be one you can get in a few weeks for a straight swap for someone like Schneider with moving Hynes.

Put himself on the never again list after a missed kick

I have 430k itb so going Mahoney to Cleary, wait and see for tlt if I do another trade
