I’m not falling for another second rower playing at centre after I got burnt last year

At the same time though, knowingly walking into the exact same traps every year is half the fun of fantasy. I've been burned by a bench prop every year I can remember and I thought MKing was gonna get me this year too, you never know, Talakai could be your King

At least you've always got plenty of water around to put out fires.

I remember this coming up in preseason when MTB added the sick feature where you can filter score with/without a teammate. Basically last year DCE made 10 more tackles a game without Turbo but then gets an uptick in attacking stats
Basically it doesn't make a huge difference
5 point uptick in average is a massive difference for an already established gun mate.
Might even go DCE over Cleary

Was gunna say, looks like a relevant increase. Not earth shattering, but additional value is additional value.

I'm pondering getting them both in this round. Means ditching fifi (which I'm happy to do)

I'm not sure it holds too much water, it's a 7 game sample using his 2021 Turboless stats where he averaged nearly 30 tackles a game, a few really good scores but he's got a monster 122 when Manly flogged the cowboys that inflates it from 65 to 75. Factor in new scoring, new rules, and the fact it's only 4 weeks you're probably splitting hairs at that point. He does have the ball on a string this year though

Dont think hes a realistic chance atm. His defense is too weak for nrl right now. Ball in hand hes dynamic but struggling to defend at q cup level.
Walters might be 6 but gamble would be my choice, and realistically could get the call up. Has had two strong games in q cup. Defends the best of the options, and would provide energy.
Personally id go with 9 paix 6 gamble.
Not sure what kevy will do. Anyones guess until we hear more. Dont think walters is a shoe in anyway.
I think Walters did great auditioning for a 25 minute bench role. As coach I would probably opt for Gamble with Walters as a utility

Reminds me of the Gallen without Fifita scenario a few years back

Cody Walker and Talakai… desperately need some teams in here already.

Yeah, it’s come to this. Desperate times.
Cody Walker probably got the 3rd biggest bump from VLandys ball behind Turbo and daylight. Averaged around 50, still sub-keeper. Before that was a low 40s player. Will probably score less tries with Ilias running the team instead of Reynolds. Scores are garbage the first 4 weeks. BuT tHe FiXtUrEs - not a compelling reason.
Talakai is a 4th choice centre and 4th choice edge for the Sharks and while I love watching the closest thing to a wrecking ball in human form in the NRL, he’s not exactly in the coaches original plans. The last time I remember 17TBs was Nick Cotric with his infamous hybrid role that turned out to be a normal role.

I'm just going to tweak my bench this week, pick up Brodie and Koula (pending TLT). This should tie me over till the the cows are ready for an upgrade with 150k itb.
