I am super tempted by D. Fifi + Katoa for Radley + TPJ.

TPJ is a very very interesting prospect. How do we feel about TPJ being on for 70+ minutes a game from here on out?

From the Des interview I dont get the impression that he is likely to play fullback.
Also, if you met Des on the street, you would be more likely to think he was homeless, than an NRL coach.
Reminds me of one of my favourite old sites: Professor or Homeless?

He'll be playing big minutes in the games he's not suspended from. 60+ should be enough if some of those are in the middle? If he's at edge only, no reason not to play 80.
I'm probably bringing him in this week. Have 685k and seeing TPJ, Teddy, Wighton and Latrell, and the arrow is currently pointing to TPJ.

have considered him as a high risk high reward prospect.
Only thing is your basically not making any cash on Fifita to him, who Im probably moving out this week myself but arguably has a much upside as TPJ with probably a better floor

Yeah, I think that's sideways/backwards as a trade.

Seems like I'm 1 week ahead of everyone with trades. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Only reason I am considering the backwards trade is to facilitate a Katoa trade-out. Currently can afford anyone to 543k and no one stands out as obvious. Might just have to trade in Koula as a red dot and reassess next week with stacks of cash. Will have to loop Thompson with Ilias/Coates. Grim scenes.

Des gotta Des.
However, what part of the interview where Des said Koula would be playing at fullback, talked about him training at fullback and went into him having all the skills to play fullback gave you the impression that he's not likely to play fullback?
On Koula playing at FB
Hasler has full confidence in Koula.
“He’s just got talent and the ability,” Hasler said on Wednesday morning.
“And there’s just that points or something that can happen around him.
“He’s got all the requirements to be able to create options, to be able to create points and fast play the balls and linebreaks. He’s got all those athletic requirements. But his footy IQ has really improved as well and he has worked hard at it. He’s worked hard at his game.”
I am curious too @MattNZ. What do you make of this?

I only said if he is suspended! I never said he should be suspended. Who knows? It is the NRL, so consistency goes out the window. Just look at Pearce and Carney!rhinoceroo wrote:

Problem with TPJ (other than suspension risk) is the variable role
81 last week, that's awesome.
20 the week before, not as good
He is certainly tempting ( as he was at time during pre-season) but could be a bit of frogurt laced with potassium benzoate

It was in November and he’s being formally charged in April? I assume that can only be a very bad thing then.Loomer wrote:

Thoughts on these options. I’ve banked 3 trades thus far.
A: Amone > Penisini
B: Amone > Koula + Clark > Latrell
C: Amone > Koula + Bully > Edwards
A: Amone > Penisini
B: Amone > Koula + Clark > Latrell
C: Amone > Koula + Bully > Edwards

TPJ is the sweet clover to Milchcow's sensitive bovine stomach. He gives him the bloat

To summarise the last 50 pages which I've unfortunately read in its entirety:
- Matt is stubborn, but also often right
- NRL players are grubs
- Des plays silly buggers with team lists

With Koula not playing this round I am thinking its best to hold trades, If people could take a look at my team tracker and let me know your thoughts that would be great.
Cheers in advance.

None are particularly appetizing, though you'd have to assume Koula will get a run eventually. If I had to pick id go C.Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Thoughts on these options. I’ve banked 3 trades thus far.

Have you considered Moale? Will be a slow burn but decent chance he maintains that bench role.

Have had TPJ since I saw he was the #1 offloader last year. Last week he played 70 mins. Started in 2RF, played the first 45/55 I think? Was off for 10 mins, seemed like h either switched to the other side, or played #13, couldn't really tell.
Weeks before he was playing 50 mins, so sounds like they were slowly building him up.
