Despite my blow up re the NRL's consistency, this one is also starting to look like a real nothing incident as well. 8 weeks suspension seems like something we should expect

I think it is still worth bringing in Koula this week. He is almost certainly going to play in first grade this year and I reckon that will be next week at FB. Useful red dot otherwise!

His BE is back to 11 now. He is the base price trade out you can take advantage of a week early

Allows me to ride a few more price rises out of Josh King instead of trading him out for Cotter.

If Haas is suspended, and with his diabolical off field history of being a complete dickhead, then you would expect a lengthy spell on the sidelines. I don’t think he’s worth the risk. No wonder the Broncos are down playing this, they must be shitting themselves.

All I know is that the police usually do not bring up an assault charge for no reason and NRL behavioural standards would suggest that you do not drag a member of the public to the ground in public no matter what the reason

I do not know anything about the incident but May probably should have left it up to security, if they were there?? I was mainly trying to get a sense of whether Rennings was an option, but I think I will bring Koula in a week early now

Everyone's seen the video. Press have all said CCTV showed nothing else. That's all there is. Nothing is being downplayed. "Lengthy spell on the sidelines" - calm down.

From the Des interview I dont get the impression that he is likely to play fullback.

Also, if you met Des on the street, you would be more likely to think he was homeless, than an NRL coach.

When the NRL wiped prior records from the judiciary at the start of the season - does that include off-field incidents as well?

It was in November. Panthers did internal discplinary process, NRL integrity unit aware of it months ago.

However, what part of the interview where Des said Koula would be playing at fullback, talked about him training at fullback and went into him having all the skills to play fullback gave you the impression that he's not likely to play fullback?

I wouldn't care if his BE was -69.

He is not going to hit it this week. If its the only way to bring in Cleary, maybe. But otherwise no reason to hurry

Also, minor point, but his true price would still be a little under $220k, so mtb's site would overstate his BE a little, as he wouldn't take that into account.

Read a Fox* article that mentioned the charges laid on March 15th (three weeks ago). NRL must have been aware of that too, weird that word didn't come out at the time.

(*might just be them getting the dates wrong. I wouldn't entirely trust them as thorough journalists)
