Honestly, dunno why Matt was getting so much hate.

Personally I don't think Haas should've got suspended based on the video we saw, but it's probably more his past keeping up with him which is why he's being suspended. 1 game is enough imo, but from the video looks like he was doing his own thing and Albert was the instigator, but perhaps there's more that the video doesn't show.

I was definitely going to buy Taylan May this week for the cash gen and centre cover. Should I now definitely *not* buy Taylan May?

Guess it's first game, so we'll see if there's a big enough stink over it in the next 24 hours as to whether he's named this round, but if he *is* then "court date next month" could be four rounds away, could be eight. And assault/ABH isn't just scuffling with a teammate or taking coke, it's a prison time crime, so that could be that even if the NRL want to brush it away...

tl/dr is May a buy or not.

From memory there is a maximum sentence for the offence that determines whether a player is stood down pending their trial date. Not sure if this charge is over that threshold. It will determine if he is stood down in the interim. If less than the automatic stand down criteria, but he gets convicted / suspended sentence / good behaviour bond etc, then he likely still gets suspended.
