Welshy, how do you coach your players to react when someone steps on their shoes?

Air force ones? Yeezys?
Haas model.
Step back, angle the shoulders, head down, chin in. Start swinging!

And yes, i'm extremley tough with regards to basics because you simply can't survive without them
I'm in the business of bettering/developing the entire squad, not just the top kids now. So many sides only coach the kids who can do it all now! Then when everyone catches up size/speed wise you find out the big fast kids can't pass off both hands or tackle.
Yeah around the legs/boots, especially on the big kids was drummed in pretty early to us. Once one kid shows how it's done, the rest will follow. You'd expect someone to lead by example in 12's is it you're coaching? Seems a fair response when some kids have probably played a few years already.

Oh was that on the try save? I thought he got him clean when falling, but wasn't looking close, I guess not.

Anyone know why Hass' TS was taken off him when he crunched Butcher? He wasn't penalised?

To be fair to them, sevens is a different game, plus they were missing Welshy junior who is a tackle/jackal specialst even as an outside half.
Full pitch at 12 is tough, but tackling technique in space remains the same process, they looked like competition had got them in fairness plus in school rugby I don't say much as not my domain. if it was at club level I would of dragged them off the pitch and replaced them.
Had won group, then knock out group and QTR final without concededing, then started tackling the big lad high and was contagious. They will learn though. Haven't lost as a club side since under 7s so good for them to feel that hurt and use it

They're extremely inconsistent with awarding them when the attacker is short of the goal line. Used to be that they had to be in the ingoal, but have seen them awarded and stick when short sometimes too.
