Got Walters, JKing, Mann, Randall, Jones, Kobe, Leo all looking like trade outs. Not liking my chances of saving any trades over the next few weeks

Pretty sure yesterday's games haven't updated yet.
They are some nice updates. Up to 926, a great score from Grant and 1,000 is in reach.
Fairly sure yesterday's games did update. Didn't have many players myself but noticed Nanai 25 to 29, Hastings 60 to 63 and a few others.

Nanai is so annoying. Second rower scoring tries and can't crack 30 over 80 min. Missed tackle king to penalty king. If Pap is out I have to take Nanai's 29

Sooooooo true.
Knights looked hot to start the season. Tipped them a couple rounds but now I wouldn't tip them to beat an NYC team

Got home, licking the wounds from the almighty bollocking the Eels gave the Knights.Welshy wrote:

Some impressions from the game.
1. The Eels were up for this game - I blame the Tigers.
2. Clune was nowhere to be seen. He was mostly hiding out in defence (either on the wing or 1 in) didn't help, the Eels found him and sent traffic down his corridor.
3. Clifford is NOT a half, 5/8 with some running game and a big boot, but can't drive a team round the park
4. Either AOB came up with a stupid game plan, running forwards 1 out into the teeth of the big boppers in the Eels pack, or the team didn't implement his game plan and couldn't change their attack.
5. Ponga needs a dominant half so he's got the space, sweeping around the left edge, or picking up an off-load in the middle to step tiring forwards to be effective - the Knights pack and halves gave him neither today
Bittersweet game - sucks that I had to sit through that rubbish - the 'Parra' chant actually started up a couple of times, at OUR home ground!!
But, it was great for the Bludgers - thanks to I.Pap & Moses.
I'll stick with my Ponga trade-in, he'll get better.
But, AOB should look at sticking Clune into ressies and give Susagi a go.

Interestingly things have pretty much gone as we would have predicted in preseason for team performance now. The first couple of rounds threw up some odd results.
Those that we expect to be too weak in the spine now performing as expected after overperforming early - Knights, Titans, Broncos, Raiders.
Cowboys the only real surprise package this year.

670/12c, feels about on par for non-Talakai but too many variables still to come. All 5 players left in the Warriors-Storm game, so at least good or bad I get to come home strong haha.

Cowboys form is a direct result of Lolo's improved output and the Chad guiding the team.mattnz wrote:Interestingly things have pretty much gone as we would have predicted in preseason for team performance now. The first couple of rounds threw up some odd results.

Many, myself included, thought the $ paid for an average half in the latter stages of his career was stupid, but his impact on Dearden makes him a great buy. Getting better service from Nanai and Luki also makes them more dangerous.

Not to mention Drinkwater killing it at fullback, he may be suspect in defence but in attack he's up there with the best.

MIDs that have huge work rates in Gilbert and Cotter also make a big difference. The Bludger#2 wrote:

Feel like I made the correct decision for once, traded out Burton and Mann for Cleary(C) and Rushton, leaving possibly enough for Haas next week if he's not injured.
My emergency players are terrible though, and I traded out Crichton for Taaffe who's in my 17 this week...

No trades this week and got on the cans instead of watching the games today. Reasonably happy sitting on 813 with 2 to come…it’s real rocks and diamonds stuff though. Who would have thunk all those coin goats picked up in round 1 would peak at the same time

Everyone has terrible emergency players, mine averaged 16 this week.kriegervondi wrote:Feel like I made the correct decision for once, traded out Burton and Mann for Cleary(C) and Rushton, leaving possibly enough for Haas next week if he's not injured.

Yh still got a few big hitters potential tomorrow and my main POD (hunt) so let’s hope the dragons channel the west tigers rather than the Newcastle knights

1st week owning cleary, enjoyable
Trading ipap for fifita makes me sleep easy, the consistency
Obviously I’m on talakai train and I’m deep in the starling trap
