I might buy Talakai in SC, which I don't play seriously. Maybe that will give him the KOD.

Up for A, down for B. (also getting talakai this week)
A:Mann -> Hastings (leaves 97 ITB)
B: Mann -> Schoupp (leaves 234 ITB)
Clearly Hastings is better option scoring wise however I’m running Nanai/ tuilagi on my edge and want to upgrade next week (hopefully Tohu), leaning me towards banking the cash, just unsure of how much schoupp may be likely to make as opposed to how much Hastings will score?

You will probably get better responses in the main thread.bigdog777 wrote:Up for A, down for B. (also getting talakai this week)

Re: the post by Tiger
Gets post of the day from me. Fantastic analysis.
The key reason not to get Talakai is opportunity cost. Getting the upside is great, but could you do better picking up someone else this week, like Hastings? Probably.
As high as I am on Talakai, if I didn't have him, my trades would be the same, Hastings and Tevaga. Then again, I was just as stubborn on not getting Cleary or Turbo last season, so don't listen to me

Yep great post ET. Pretty much summed up what Ive been thinking, but in more mathematical (you know I love that) terms.
I don't think anyone is doubting Talakai is a good buy in a vacuum, but not sure it works for my team. I'll probably suffer in the short run, but hoping it'll work out for me in the long run as people start to run low on trades having made multiple short-term efforts.
If I got him in the last 2 weeks I'd be over the moon. Through to the keeper for me now though, and I'll be hoping that if Talakai scores tries tonight, it's with the help of Nicholas.

Thanks Snatch & Matt,
I think you said it better snatch - in a vacuum it's a trade - but trades are seldom ever in a vacuum - and yeah, there's definitely an opportunity cost.
I'm very much undecided at this point and not ruling him In or Out. I need to figure out who stays, who can go first, and how Mr Talakai compares with those other options - because it's ultimately whether there's a net benefit.
One thing I'll say, is the Sharks appear to be getting better at creating space for him - which is a bit scary. Imagine if Fifita was playing in that Sharks team - I think 17 tries would be back on the menu.

And imagine if fifita had talakai work rate and ran as straight and hard as him,
Great post in the main thread loved it

So if Talakai & Mulitalo have a quiet game and score sub 40 each.
Will Mattnz
A) Blame the sharks halves for not sending every single play their way
B) FItzy for having a game plan other then giving the ball to Talakai
C) Admit he is wrong and that the 2 of them are no better then your average plodder ?

Just found this youtube video of Talakai scoring with his first touch in the NRL.
He was big for a CTR, but wasn't the tank that he is today.
