580/11 with Hastings, Papenhuyzen, Coates, Randall and Jones to go. Don't even have 17 taking the field.

It's fitting I'm a Roosters fan because usually I'm super good at fantasy but this year I'm utter shit.

Nah. Think they took one of his penalties away (the backchat one that wasn't him).

Surprised only 59 Hastings trade-ins in top 1k (322 Talakai, 111 TMM). Possibly that's a function of it being live top 1k and who's played so far and what trades have locked?

793/15c live rank of 6th, but with only two men to defend it tomorrow I will see an unceremonious tumble.

623/12c for me so far, Fifita, SCrichton and Schneider the only bad scores but Teddy to only real bright spot. Had Mann to Angus locked in but backed it out a couple mins before the game. Trying to decide if I should go Mann to Hastings and cop Leo's score for the week or Mann to Cheese. Thoughts?

I was thinking long term when making this trade.

Teddy between now and the end of the Origin period will score significantly less than other guns, factoring in the games he will miss, and the insanely tough draw he has between round 10 and 18. His team has been very poor this year and I don't see them going well against good teams for a while still.

With Talakai, my reasoning was as follows

    * If he is not a keeper, he will make short term money and can then be moved on for a round 13 gun (Lolo or someone like that) - he has done this already with his score last week

    * If he is a keeper, then I keep him and get Teddy back in round 18-20 by other means, and I have got a gun in for significantly less than most people did

Trading keepers is possible this year given we have 2 trades more than we did last year, and only one less than Supercoach did last year. That said, I don't intend to trade any more keepers unless they're injured.

I think this is poor reasoning. Watching Teddy tonight reminded me of why I hate not owning him. I spend half the game yelling at the tv saying "smash him, smash him, smash him!!". His draw has nothing to do with it. His draw has nothing to do with it. Yes, it needed repeating. Teddy was a gun whilst playing for the Tigers.

Having said that, I admire your boldness. I made a trade similar to the Talakai one a couple of years ago. Bradman Best had a very low (negative?) BE. I reasoned that one score of 40+ would see him make 100k within two weeks pretty much regardless of the second score. People said it was a waste of a trade. It was marginal, but the compelling factor in my case, was that I absolutely needed a centre that week, which made it all the more compelling. Also he was like 550k or something not 6 something

Honestly, why the phucking phuck is phucking brown playing in the phucking centers with this halfwitt POS useless phuck playing 6.

You could literally put phucking Carty or Paulo in center and it would be less phucking usless than persisting with that phucking useless mother phucker arthur.

    Get phucked.

Talakai was 559k when I got him last week, obviously it would have been a terrible trade if I had done it this week.

No, unless Haas is out for more than 2 weeks, and even then I would have to be able to get two guns in from selling Haas and someone like Randall, which is unlikely since Haas and Ipap are way ahead of every other MID bar Murray who's way out of reach
