Will be a humdinger of a match, more or less a grand final come early type match!

Hope they hype it up big time as it could be like a minor state of O match, that's level of quality I think it will be

Better than SoO because it has Hughes, Cheese, NAS, Olam, JFH, Kikau there Wink

That's got me thinking... in football (soccer), you'd pick the very best club sides to beat the best international sides more often than not, partly because of the stockpiling of talent and partly because of familiarity and day-in, day-out training.

RL a bit different because of lack of international spread, but on the other hand rep sides spend a lot less time together through the year honing their game than international soccer sides do.

Anyway, I'd probably back the Storm to beat QLD in a hypothetical match-up (with Grant and Munster playing for both sides). Penrith too. NSW might just shade it against either of them at the moment.

Yep would back Melb over QLD for sure, comfortably too I think.

You're right that Panthers v NSW would be closer, but I'd back them to edge it out with Clearly, Luai, Koro, Yeo and Edwards combination being so great at the moment

Suspected that two men wouldn’t be enough to hold off the Sunday onslaught- 882 and blew out to 70th. Traded Randall over Wilton which was a mistake, as was taking Tevaga over Hastings- I have a serious weakness for giving too much preference for bye players. Still not sour on Tevaga though, heard some chatter of him being a dud trade, but I don’t think we are quite there yet. I brought Cotter and Angus in last week for 69 (heh) points and those trades looked like duds, but they came out firing for 137 this week. Jury is still very much out on Tevaga, I am hoping Brown reduced his minutes after playing 70 the week prior. If he can get 50 mins in the middle I think he still comes good.

848 for me. AFB is killing me. I should have used him to get Cleary weeks ago. I've only got two origin players not including Papy and Hynes, and 12 players for rd 13. Feel like i'm one gun Origin player short compared to everyone else. And one of my gun origin players is Haas who is probably out for a couple of weeks.

Try owning Reece Walsh. 42 avg the 4 weeks owned before Storm game. 26pts vs Storm at half time doing all the kicking. -1 for 2nd half and 17 this week with 4 GKS. 18pts in 120 mins of football. I have no choice but to sell unless want to lose more on top of 110k already lost. Was obvious sell this week instead of Jing and now I maybe forced to buy 2 MIDs

Saw Kotoni Staggs at the supermarket yesterday and noted the following

He is a very large unit (with a bad moustache)

He had a compression sleeve over his lower right leg (probably nothing)

He had a tiny Siosifa Talakai peeping out of his pocket

I was looking at Walsh as a potential rd 11 trade in. He should be cheap by then!

Carrigan training with the firsts, seems like he'll be back this week. Haas and Capewell not training

Definitely something to be said about having those weekly combinations at rep level. Qld won eight in a row. Some would say the Storm were lucky to have so many rep players, but the truth is, Qld were lucky to have the Storm spine, the best in the competition playing together week in week out.

That's why I think Luai was, and is, the best choice for NSW, and the combo is a scary prospect as a Qld fan.

I was looking at him as a buy soon, but not sure I can justify it, trash scores at the moment. I'd probably need a Shaun Johnson injury and Walsh increased Kms to go there.

With Fifita out for 4 weeks, Haas probably gets to stay in my team (unless he's also out for a while in which case I bring in 2 big guns)

Hypothetical if you were to trade in any 2 players for them, who would you bring in?

Think Dfifi to Aitken (Finally) for me this week.
Lolo to MID from bench and TPJ down to EDG
Cant be missing out on such a reliable keeper CTR any longer and gives me another strong RD 13 player

Is there a thread for people's predicted Origin teams? I'm interested in R13 players that might get get selected. I've seen Nanai as bench bolter on a few sports news websites

Hypothetically? Probably a late season 2021 TTurbo and Eric Bana, because he can be the Hulk or Hector of Troy.

Vishnu also a good option: lots of avatars and gk points too.

the flash or quicksilver good shouts. would put them 3rd in speed behind JAC and Cook over a short, sandy distance.
