Trading May back to Penisini would not cost a trade, as I own both players before trades.

Penisini to Tass and May to Penisini is two trades haha

Seems pretty standard right? I was pretty happy with trades saved to this point assuming I’ll be ahead of most with 22 after this round.

Step 1: Use the 1st trade to go Penisini to Tass, play him on Thursday night

Step 2: Check team lists 1hr before the Penrith game

    * If May is IN, then use the 2nd trade to go Jones to Cotter
    * If May is OUT, then trade May back to Penisini (playing Koula at WFB), and then trade Jones to Lolo (as I would have enough money to do this if I sell May, but not if I sell Penisini

The idea of selling and buying back Penisini using 2 trades in one week is geniunely the most horrendous waste of trades I've ever heard of. I don't know where you're getting 3 trades this week to do Jones to Lolo for the May OUT option.

    You've posted
    Trade 1 Penis to Tass

    if May OUT
    Trade 2 May to Penis

    There's no 3rd trade

Tass may not even keep his spot beyond this week or the next anyway

As far as I can tell, as long as you can afford the trade, both players are in the right positions (or on the bench), and that both players have not locked out, you can do it.

Do you just mean you reverse the trade?

Yes, it would be a way to reverse the trade despite Tass having already played - you just change who you sell for him. This works in SC which is why I thought of it.

Not an issue anymore though since I didn't realise that I can just sell Jones to Tass and then wait until Friday to trade Penisini or May to my MID of choice (Cotter or Lolo respectively)

Yeah I remember something like that with Supercoach because there's no reverse trades once the round starts or something.

You can test it right now though. Trade Penisini to Tass and then whoever back to Penisini and see.

I'm sure you can't do it

    Penis -> Tass. Locks

You can't sub out who you've sold Tass for to be May after. That's a 2nd trade.

    BUMP

Fifita to Lolo is pretty much locked in in my mind. Problem is if I don’t use my 2nd trade I’ll be fielding Ilias most likely and having to loop in one of Koula,Vailea or Lee if I keep Jones. Bear in mind I also have to play Coates in my 17(hasn’t been a problem the last fortnight). Should I take a punt on Elliot or is there someone else I should take a punt on? I have 53k after the first trade

Fair enough, though it's a moot point now since I've found a better way to hedge against May.

That said, SC actually does allow reversing trades during the round now, and you can still do what I described, I've done it once this season

News Corp understands Nikorima, who is off contract at the end of the season, has been given permission to negotiate with rival clubs by the Warriors.

    They're welcome to him lol

Would have to be just as a back up surely? Can't see how Walker/Nikorima would work. I guess he works as a very poor man's Walker backup/maybe a 14 instead of Havili.

He is named at 14, so would need a late switch in final team lists for this to even be a possibility.

Supercoach (and Sportsdeck) have a new feature this year where you can "update a trade"

If the traded out player has locked out, but the traded in player hasn't, you can switch the trade to another unlocked player. Its more flexible than reverse trades and making the new one. I've never actually tried it to see if it works.

Thoughts? Quite conflicted on trades this week

Thinking of the same trades myself , I want Ipap and Aitkin so might opt for Aitkin this week and look at getting IPap next week.

PS as an owner in Fantasy Fantasy I like the trades Very Happy

Its not a feature in fantasy

even before SC introduced it this year, you could still do the following:

    Let's take three players, A, B and C.

    * Assume that you own players A and B, and want to buy player C.
    * Also assume that player C plays before players A and B

What you can do, is trade A to C, then after C has locked out (but before either A and B lock out), you can trade B to A, which would then update the trade as if you had traded B to C initially and not cost you an extra trade to do it.

It seemingly isn't a feature in fantasy, but it should be IMO
