What about people who play him at wfb? Haha centre is the least of my problem and you are right Burton/Aitken are options too

To be honest in my situation I have Penisini,Tago,Talakai,Koula that can cover centre and Hynes,Papy,Koula,Lee at WFB
In my example it would be May vs Penisini out and the latter would be playing and potential to earn still
Happy to wait as that trade doesn't need to happen and would prefer to keep May
Its simply an option, and perhaps we will know more before the panthers game

Yes, I suppose it's a bit different long-term if you're playing May at WFB and have that many centres, but you could still plug Koula in for a week.

Looking at my potential back line in a couple of weeks is giving me the horn. Very origin-heavy, but pretty much everyone else in my squad will be Rnd 13.

    Cleary, Hastings
    May/Burton, Tago*
    Papy, Ponga, TTrbo

    14. Hynes
    .
    21. Koula

(*to eg. Lomax before Rnd 17)

I think Teddy will smoke him over any distance, but Carrigan probably benches more.

ATM leaning toward Haas to J Jackson and D Fifita to Hastings. Getting a DPP bye player and mid/edg coverage and hopefully a keeper half making cash, and having decent cash ITB for trades next week.

I know lots of players play injured, but Haas coming off during the game last week, not finishing training sessions last week and playing Origin tell me it's time for him to go. Also, the fact that they played Haas with that injury says that they don't care enough about him to let him heal.

I realise J Jackson may play less minutes due to COVID but I feel more comfortable with having coverage for mid/edg.

Tass has a nice BE vs Asi who could be a slow burn. Tough call though

If Morgan Harper is anything to go by, quite a risk lol

I'm tossing him up too as I can't get Tolo and Hastings. Great option I think

Thanks mate. Asi has the DPP which is handy and I'm a sucker for round 13. I've always thought he had potential when playing for the Cows so I think he'll have a good crack.

    Sharks: Hynes and possibly Talakai

Storm: all the clear keepers (Munster, Papi, Grant) are Origin. Possibly Hughes.

    Knights: nobody non-origin

Souths: Cook, Murray (ie. nobody non-origin)

Tigers: Hastings if it's not a mirage

Eels: iPap, Mahoney, possibly Moses and DBrown

    Broncos: nobody non-origin

    Dragons: Lomax maybe

Based on the serious lack of options for bye 2 anyone in with a chance at overall should be going heavy at bye 1. Probably want 15+ to make up for the ~10-12 players you will have for bye 2

wolfking wrote:Someone talk me out of it, but I'm considering trading Cook.  Made 140K, seems to have slightly over achieved getting past 900K, locked in for Origin, have Randall and Starling already and can turn him into Tolo and then turn Ilias into Hastings, getting another round 13 gun and what is looking like a keeper half.

Other options is Ilias and Schneider out for Tass and Hastings and wait on Tolo, but the Cook idea is interesting.

I probably won't but is this as dumb as other trades we've seen happen around here?  Considering the position am I playing with fire after getting a massive win by starting with him?  We've seen last week he crawled to 55 and looks like he still could have a low game in him.  Can banner though, I know.

The strategy seems sound to me but personally I have bigger problems than the guns performing how we want them to. Assuming you planned to get rid of him over origin anyway downgrading to Lolo who should get within 10 points for 200k less + plays round 13 seems fine

Honestly, I never gave it a thought until his scoring last week slowed up a little. I don't think I will this week, but it doesn't mean I won't in a week or two.

Yeah, I keep tossing around my strategy but already have possibly 10 for bye round 1 with trades in hand. I'm thinking now keep Schneider and take a punt on Asi for Penis and I'll have maybe 12 players for round 13 already with 23 trades in hand. Tolo and TPJ would be the only ones I'd want to target going into the round so could potentially have a decent 14-15. Ranked just outside the top 1000, it could be a decent play.

Tass marking Staggs if Tass can come out of this game with a pass mark I will be impressed. Only seeing a little bit of Tass he seems to have explosive speed off the mark & so does Staggs so both will be looking to get that half a yard on the outside.

Fifita to Lolo is pretty much locked in in my mind. Problem is if I don’t use my 2nd trade I’ll be fielding Ilias most likely and having to loop in one of Koula,Vailea or Lee if I keep Jones. Bear in mind I also have to play Coates in my 17(hasn’t been a problem the last fortnight). Should I take a punt on Elliot or is there someone else I should take a punt on? I have 53k after the first trade

I can't believe people are still responding to Dan. One of the few people on MS block list because I think the forum would be better off without him

For the last however many years he comes on once a week, contributes nothing to discussion, repeatedly posts his flavour of the week trades then disappears without helping anyone once he has gotten a response. I'm certain he won't even read this post because he has already disappeared for the week

I'd rather have 5 first year players that don't know what they are doing taking up his post count

How many rd13 players do people currently have? Just to get a feel for the average..

I have 8 (9 in the unlikely scenario that Angus doesn't play Origin)

But strongly considering moving Haas and Jones to two rd13 players this week (two of TPJ/JJ/Schuster/Cotter/Robson) to bring me up to 10. Just don't see easy paths to grab solid rd13 players via my cows only.

16 base vs Raiders. 12pts from 2 try assists. I feel he's a mid 20s scorer next few

I see that, but to have 2 TA's in a team he joined that week is a decent effort.

    Any thoughts welcome.
