You were up against it back then mate. Also the fact this site runs 3 times as quick when quoting/swapping threads etc has really made it a lot less stressful.Simon Templar wrote:Aardvark Ratnick wrote:Geez guys this joint runs like a well oiled machine , Kudos to all involved
+1
This is running so much more smoothly than back in the day when I was trying to keep the NRL fantasy stuff humming along in Sportal and I WASNT a mod and I used to have to chase Mitch to do stuff for me with the threads and the fecker was more a hinderance than a help.

As a Littlejohn owner this is good as he might now play more than 1 game but conversely it should see his kick metres decrease.

Mansour is on my "never to be picked again" list. He is a gun but he is injury proned. He has burned me too many times over the psst 4 years.
Season = No. of games
2012 = 14
2013 = 14
2014 = 22
2015 = 12
But now that I have written him off, the KOD curse has been lifted and his fortunes will probably turn around.

Just further clarification, I know Random has answered allready. This is not directed at you Speedball as you have your answer, but I just want to make sure there is absolutely no confusion-anyone looking to trim their leagues can leave the (EX-SPORTAL) NRL FANTASY FANATICS league, but:Speedball Deluxe wrote:Question to Official Sportal league commissioners:
If I am on the 'Official' NRL FANTASY FANATICS OVERALL GROUP
is there any need for me to be part of (EX-SPORTAL) NRL FANTASY FANATICS
other than for my own interest, like it will be the official 'overall group' one which is used next year for seedings of leagues and not the 'ex sportal' one right?
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE NRL FANTASY FANATICS OVERALL GROUP

Yeah, fair call. HEad is spinning at the moment but was there a general reason why Lafai didn't perform last year?CubanMafiaSandSlugs wrote:SI wrote:
I like this logic. Just not sure if they go down Lafai's side as much is all.
I thought that initially. But then I remembered that in 2014, Lafai played on the right at the Dogs and they had an Australian rep at left centre - Josh Morris. Lafai is fairly low risk in my opinion. Worst case is he bombs and scores around his current price. Work at swapping him out to a gun when you have spare coin, or downgrade to an emerging cow.
In saying that, I'm leaning towards Ferg at centre at the moment

So I have no idea, gut says yes but who knows.
Slater has been in my VSDT team since day 1, but it's a big risk to run with him and then wait until Monday night to find out whether or not he's playing.
Does anyone else have Slater and what are their thoughts?

if this is true I might get Littlejohn back in my team (on the possibly false assumption he is preferred to Halatau).
Would also confirm Moses as a top half option, and justify my decision to drop the Claw last night
Also - who starts instead of Lawrence? Would be great if it was Aloiai

Slater has been in and out of my team
If he is back to full fitness he should be able to put up some good scores and make some cash in the run up to origin.
Unfortunately there is a bit of doubt over that 'if' and with a Monday night game there are limited options for a tradeout if he doesn't play, so I am playing safe and taking Mansour/Gordon instead.

Anyone else p1ssed off and baffled at the "Compare Teams" feature being active now before the first lockout?
I'm playing H-2-H predominantly, and fortunately our fixtures don't start until Rd 4, but we've all been able to see each other's teams as they currently stand. It completely ruins the integrity of the competition, especially for leagues starting in Rd 1.
I would be saying this is unbelievable, but it's just a standard fail from FanHub yet again.

Thanks Milchy. I think I will replace Slater too.
Luckily I'm only playing VSDT, so I can let the dust settle on my team over the first 2 rounds and make changes in Round 3 without any financial impact.

Out of interest - have you changed any of your teams selections based on who the other guys in your league have picked?
Have any of the other guys - if so who have they traded out/in?

FFS. Another development that makes me glad I play VSDT instead of NRLF.
