I had him all of last year in VSDT so watched him closely and he went through good and bad runs. He rarely went looking for the ball or try to create anything. I didn't pick him this year based on that. But Bennett should eventually get the best out of him. I personally think he is better off on the wing.
I noticed that he didn't look for any hit ups in the first half. But the second half he started taking a couple after the kick return. I think Bennett must have said something to him at half time

Wouldn't stress on Gordon. First nrl game at a new club and just so happens to play the favourites straight up, and play without his halves. 18/20 will be a low... there'll be rounds where he goes big to make up for them... he is a back after all.

Yeah, Flash was in all my teams till yesterday. I ditched him in all of them, but not because I thought he would go shit, just to suit my team dynamics. I wouldn't be worried if I had him, he looked sharp in the 1st half and copped a head knocked early obviously. The 2nd half was scrappy and as allready pointed out, Parra were rudderless after the injuries.

Have no worries over Gordon at all, Zero conversions either with Foran and Norman steering them around i would expect Parra to rack up some scores so expect Gordon to be slotting a few 2's most weeks, tough match up first off gives me no worries about the season ahead

At this stage yes mate. So left that earlier team as is, with 465k in the kitty. Actually applied it to VSDT as well. Only Peats tonight so happy with that. The system will probably rely on popular cows failing, and I don't wish that happening on anyone. I genuinely hope it doesn't, as I have the popular cows as well. But if it does happen, then I have the cash to upgrade them straight up.
I took Al's advice (and probably what everyone else was thinking as well) and ran a 2nd team with my original picks. It is a balanced team, will see where they are at come the business end of the season.

Looks like the NRL mobile app is getting stat updates before everything else again this year? for the relevant players, it has:
Gordon 25
Gutherson 36
Peats 66
Ma'u 66
Moeroa 40
Roberts 22
McGuire 48
Parker 50
EDIT: the updates are up on the website now

Roberts 22

Alright Roberts got one extra point! Plus a 25 from Gordon who barely got to register any attacking stats is actually not too bad. Damn though I was thinking of running with Peats from the start but I had to go with Smith because I thought well set and forget him, Peats can wait till the bye period.

Just noticed the fantasy stats centre has a minutes played column this year, handy for those that don't know where to look for them, a bit wonky at the moment though, a few players apparently played 160 minutes.

Peats will not make 60 tackles every week without missing 1 mate....maybe every other haha
Nice to see a decent update for Gordon

Also shows league opponents scores in the match centre so you can work out who they captained now etc
My hope of Dragonwest captaining Hunt did not come to fruition haha

I was worried about him getting a 10-15 minute rest, the injuries to the Eels during the game still hasn't made me forget that fear

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 10
As a Peats owner in all teams I was very worried early on. About 10 minutes into the game he made a tackle and then grabbed at his thumb or wrist. Played the half out which was great but then in the second half again he did the same thing. The fact he played 80 (I think) was reassuring.
He also looked spent a couple of times and there were seemingly 3 Parra dummy halves in the final 40, but if he got through the 80 tonight then he should do for the foreseeable future .

Yeah, fair call on that, maybe he wasn't slotted in for 80 originally. I guess the positive is he showed he could do it if needs be straight off the bat.

Likely he does play 80 mate, just a concern i had that with the addition of Scott and the return of Kenny Edwards he wouldn't go to the backrow during the game to play his 80 minutes, when Gower dropped and Pritchard remained I thought he would spell Peats
